I tried this place once and it wasn't bad but wasn't anything special either. I ended up there because I could bring my dog to join me on the patio and on the Tuesday I visited there was a couple of bucks off a taco combination platter. As recently as yesterday I was going to stop back in but didn't and ironically my coworker informed me today that they're now permanently closed. I drove by after work and there was a big truck in the parking lot being loaded up. Another one in Lafayette bites the dust.

Hadn't they combined ACME Taco and ACME Burger at the one location?

Went there a couple times and there were never more than 3-4 tables

That's a shitty location, not a shocker.

they had these terrible homemade tables with gaps between each piece of wood that would require detailed cleaning every night to keep them looking clean. I go in a few weeks later and they were not kept up and covered in crumbs. Why would you make tables that are so hard to clean and would always look disgusting with a lazy staff?

used to be service industry, just noticed it would get gross the first time I went and looked the next time. It was the same for that pizza place downtown that is now a tattoo parlor. Hard too clean areas get neglected and dirty.

Went once, and it was ok. Like the poster above, I'm a fan of Urbanos though.

I don't know.. It's the old Burger Tyme location, on the corner of Johnston and Ambassador.. doesn't get more prime than that.

Good Riddance. I went once for lunch. Ordered a burger, fries, and a beer. Food was decent, but with tip it was ~$25.

Had plans to have lunch there with a friend about a month ago. Not so sorry we had to cancel. I really had heard nothing about it and just wanted to give it a try. Oh well.

I agree. It seems like a prime location with a million cars passing right in front everyday, but it's just not convenient getting in and out of there with all the damn traffic at that corner.

I said from day 1 it wouldn't last.

Yep. It isn't great to be in a high traffic area if it's a pain to enter and exit the parking lot.

I recently moved to Lafayette from Austin (land of the taco) and I agree with the poster above that Urbano's is a pretty good taco joint in Lafayette.

Urbano's Taco Bar & Taco Sisters pretty much own it in Lafayette

Tried their "carnitas" tacos, tasted like a frozen chicken breast thrown in a pressure cooker with store bought chili powder. It was downright awful, told the wife this place won't make it another year. It lasted a few months longer than that, much longer than I thought. They charged Social (Lafayette restaurant) prices for poor food.
