Zero love for GA BBQ in this thread. That's OK, stay away. I can't stand dried mesquite wood nor mesquite charcoal, green mesquite somewhat better but a mess. Would much rather use peach, apple, cherry, hickory or oak.

Lived in TX a few years, BBQ was good for the most part. Done Memphis, overbilled/underdelivered. Eaten BBQ in KY a few times, mutton and pork, very average. Been and eaten Q in KC a few times, it was aight, not great. Haven't eaten NC, no comment. GA produces some pretty good Q although very hard to find a decent beef rib. Then again, the best shite seems to come off the Primo on the deck.

Here, here... I've owned more pits than a person should and I've been thoroughly impressed.

I see now that your pal pooponsaban is back you two are back to trolling the F&D Board and being completely useless posters in general. Great stuff.
You're too dumb to even know when someone is trolling. Nice stalk though. Given your prior warning here, one would think you would quit doing this sort of thing.

I hate to even admit this much less be the one to tell you, but Mike Mills from Illinois bitch slaps all other barbecue in the world. He even won Memphis in May so many times that they asked him to stop competing.

I don't doubt he makes some nice que, but the better we do at Memphis in May events, the less I like our product. Especially ribs. The judging of your set up kinda sucks too. My opinion of course.

nothing beats a TRUE cajun barbeque. here is is:

Nothing in those pictures would even qualify as BBQ by even pretty lenient standards.

That being said, it all looks good.

I've had real Texas, Kansas City, and east NC cue. Texas hill country cue is by far the least frilled, delicious-on-its-own-merit BBQ. Not a single frill. If Lockhart didnt do it for you, try City Market in Luling, and always order the sausage rings.

However, Anthony Bourdain did put Oklahoma Joes, a KC joint, on his "10 places to eat before you die" list, along with places like the French laundry.

EAst NC and Kansas City are both delicious as well though.
