50th Birthday dinner. Clancy’s or Dick and Jenny’s

My 50th is in a couple of weeks. Wife wants to take me to dinner. Trying to decide between Dick and Jenny’s and Clancy’s. Was hoping to get feedback. Thanks in advance.

Clancy’s all day
D&J has been pretty bad the last few times I’ve been there. I think they were bought out a few years ago.

Wife and I always go sit with Garth at the bar. Then one day I saw him in public without work jacket on and it completely threw us for a loop.

Clancy’s. Hadn’t been to D&J’s in years until 2 months ago. We left dinner thinking that was one of the worst meals we had for that amount of money in a long time. Will never go back.

Stay clear of dick and Jenny's. My buddy use to work there. They are always understaffed and the service is terrible. Plus the owner is a nut job. Go read the reviews on yelp and Google.

Hot take: if Clancy’s was in the FQ it would be Antoine’s. I’ve never had a great meal there in 4 try’s. Their food is so boring & time has passed them by

Had Dick and Jennys a few weeks ago for the first time in a year or so, and it wasn’t good at all. Everything was edible but had no flavor, tasted like big banquet hotel food. Service was fine, but I left very disappointed with the food.

D and J is not in the same ballpark as Clancys.

I know it is not everyone's favorite place, and that's fine. But if you can't go to Clancy's and have a really enjoyable meal then something is wrong.

Service is excellent. Love some of the apps. Just haven’t had a great entree there

It’s an amazing place to have dinner. Fun, vibrant, incredible wine list, see and be seen vibe. Cool spot. Always have fun.
The food isn’t why people go there.
