I didn't see them, but you don't really understand the discussion anyway.

I'd be perfectly happy with hoppy beers the rest of my life.

Heady
Envie
Ghost
Haze
Bud Light (would need a beer I can slam all day during football season)

But are they low quality? I'm betting that syrup is some of the best.

True, some HFCS may not be made from GMO corn, Good point!

I'm going to stick with local beers

pFriem Single Hop Pale Ale - My easy drinker
Block 15 Sticky Hands DIPA - Standard for WCIPA
De Garde The Peach - Only had once, and wish it was more available
Barley Brown's Don Vanuchi BA Stout - very drinkable BA Stout
Ale Apothecary Sahalie - when looking for something a little different

I wanted a variety, but I left a lot of my regular beers out:

Cascade Apricot, Super Nebula, Notorious, Peche 'n Brett, any of De Garde's Bu's, Black Butte Reserve, Adam from the Wood, Mother of All Storms, Pallet Jack, Hop Venom, Juice Box, Turbulent Consequences, 3-Way, Half Hitch, Citra Hose, and Rogue Voodoo Doughnut Chocolate, Banana & Peanut Butter Ale...

And I'm sure I'm forgetting some. One beer I regret not putting on the list is the Black Butte Reserve. That is a very underrated beer, IMO.

What do you think of 10 Barrel - Joe IPA? I just filled a growler with it and will try it for the first time later.

I like Joe. I enjoy it much more than 10 Barrel's flagship Apocalypse IPA. When fresh, the nose is bright and citrusy, but I found the taste to be more earthy, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Solid beer.

BMC has not affected 10 Barrel or Elysian at all, that I've noticed. That being said, both of these are solid, but not spectacular breweries, IMO. They brew a lot of really good beers, but not many great beers.

Excited to try it then. I had a pint of Apocalypse IPA at The Chimes Monday, and it was great.

I didn't mean to belittle Apocalypse but it is everywhere here. Most of the craft rooms don't carry it, because it's available in every convenience mart and at every restaurant and non-craft beer joint in the city. The problem is that there is so much of it available, that it's hard to find it fresh - it shelf turds, so I can't remember the last time I've had fresh Apocalypse.

For me, Apocalypse is a fallback to my fallback beers.

To further my case on Apocalypse, I was in the cafeteria at work and I saw it on the beer menu. The Nike cafeteria ain't exactly maven central... Meaning, I can get it anywhere.

FWIW, I had the Hop Valley Citress Mistress on tap with the meatloaf. Both were excellent.

Has InBev taken 10 Barrel national now? I must be under a rock.

Obviously InBev has taken the to Louisiana, so that aspect of the buyout is a positive. I don't think they are available everywhere, yet, but it looks like they are headed in that direction.
