What a douche. Anytime something like that happens at a bar I just smile and pretend like I didn't hear them. There's nothing they hate more than being ignored. Been to plenty of shows were everyone was drugged out of their minds (in a good way) and I was in a button down. Can't let it bother ya.

Fat Harry's

Fat Harry's sucks, and it sucks more than ever post-renovation. There's not one good thing about that place other than location.

Eh, the nostalgia is still there. Still, can't say I was happy to pay $5 for a Bud there during the day before the Super Bowl.

Live next door, I smoke a pipe, and Taceaux Loceaux goes there 3 nights a week so I'm definitely a Dos Jefes man. I always rep' it on TD.

I don't smoke but I go there sometimes just for the food truck out front. Caught the skillet truck out there this past Friday. Not really my type place but its a cool bar.

Quentin Tarantino partied at The Saint when he was in town filming Django.

He'd hang out at Kajun's on occassion, which also made this list.

I agree with this list being all over the place. Since most of it seems to be based in having a unique experience as opposed to overall quality, I'm kind of shocked he didn't include Candlelight Lounge on a Wednesday night.

the list gets a lot of hate from most people on this board because a lot of those bars are on st. claude. In ten years st. claude will be a badass strip to hangout on once it has gentrified. These people are just mad that they can't go drink at those bars in their polos and crocs.

lolz. how many taco trucks in the U.S. have you been to? Taceaux Loceaux is overrated. It's mediocre at best.

I love when hipsters are proven to be just as close-minded as the "squares" they purport to disdain.

I live in Texas so I eat at some of the best. I think Taceaux Loceaux is pretty good in comparison. Maybe you just didn't get the right thing? It's obviously not overrated or mediocre because it was featured on Anthony Bourdain's the layover. He also tweeted about how good they are.

I like your big words but you didn't "prove" anything. The bars on st. claude are awesome. That area is getting better and better by the day.

I live in and love the Bywater. But, the bars on St. Claude leave a lot to be desired. The better places are actually off of St. Claude: B.J.'s, Vaughans, Markeys, Bud Rips and the bars inside the restaurants (Bacchanal, Maurepas and Booty's).

I agree, I've been to about every bar in that area that was on the list. I love the Bywater/St. Claude area. That's why it's annoying when some douche comes along and says we didn't like the list because we're afraid to venture out of our comfort zones and go to non-preppy bars. So yea, that guy can go frick himself. The list still sucks
