I agree with this...That is the only place I know of where I can buy ribeyes, rubber boots, shingles, and new brake shoes all in one place

I don't think anyone forced these people to live on a narrow strip of land surrounded on all sides by water...

Well to be honest, if they are opening the Morganza to help protect New Orleans and Baton Rouge, those people should have realized that they were building in a fish tank.

Those people know how to survive and they know where they live. I'm sure none are happy about it but they know the circumstances. When they do flood I wouldn't suggest making a wake with your boat. I guarantee you'll hear a lot of "choot em"

I don't think they have much of a choice. Someone from ACOE was on the news earlier saying the water was going to overlap anyway.

I am headed to Bayou Pigeon Sat. to help my father empty out the camp of furniture, tvs, appliances, etc. I hope it is a waste of time and effort but since the camp sits on grand river in Pigeon there is a chance of flooding.

2-4 foot will not effect a lot of peope in PP, the bay road will get effected along with parts of Shell Beach. Stephensville will see water simply b/c they have no levee systems. Belle River can handle the backwater suggesting, it's Lake Verret and the canals off of Verret b/c there is no bank, of course some places are built lower to water level and they will see water

Pierre Part flooding is a non-event unless you happen to live there. NOLA or BR flooding is an international event.

Gotta love the way Bob Breck said this will mainly affect camps They act like NOLA and BR are the only things in LA.
