No, but there are is enough space for that for like 6 cars. And no shoulder to park on

I imagine a lot of people are parking across the street.

Although I didn't realize that was an LSU lot.

Great point....I couldn't imagine being a rescue chopped, flying over someone sprawled out on a beach chair knocking back some brews

You need university parking permits to park on the side of the road by the levee?

That is blocked off, the vet parking lot is the only place to park.

Gotcha. I didn't know what he was referring to.

Still, if that lot's mostly empty (I'm guessing it usually is, and is not a big parking area for commuter students), it's more than damn silly to be ticketing folks who are just parking there to go gawk at the river about to flood Early Cuyler's house.

Dont you have flood insurance?

yeah but I will probably lose everything, except important information that we are moving to my brothers house. So all the insurance froms, compture files will move to my brothers house. But all of our material possessions will be lost, we will be displaced homeless more then likely.

Finicially we won't be hit hard, but it will change things of us drastically.

I just don't see why families want to go "hang out" by the rive and be reminded that there is potential for devastation on a scale that is massive.

Late to the party but . . . I don't see why people want to go mountain climbing and risk fricking death but I can understand why they would want to see nature's power.

Even during the Fall the only time that lot has lots of vehicles is on home games.

Sort of, yeah.

It's a powerful display of nature. People flock to that because it's interesting/spectacular.

Like i said. It's really more annoying than anything and it's a fascination that I don't really understand or relate to.

But there's no reason to be a prick about it.

I'm pretty sure he is talking about the water level... not distance from the road.

Look at the first picture. Unless the guy in blue is a hobbit, I'm pretty sure you could place him with his head even with the road and his feet wouldn't be a foot or so from touching the water.

Could be perspective games with the pics, I wasn't there in person.

Vertical feet...not linear feet. The angles of the pictures also distort the actual distance. If I had to guess, it was about 20 linear feet from the top (measuring from the water along the grass up to the peak)

Definitely a perspective picture...If I was to take a level picture of him, his knee would be able even with the road. From this perspective it looks as if his mid torso is even with the road.

Bilbo Baggins and the Mrs. wanted their pic next to the river too.

It's an event that has never happened in recorded weather history if it crests at the levels they are saying. It's historic. You need to get over it, and you are sounding way too sensitive about it.
