You and redd always use week 1 as an example for the crazy outgaming that's gone on this year.
Just looked it up, he only got you by 4 games..
You tied in 3's, lost rebounds by 8, steals by 2, and FG% by 0.0014
You made 2 moves that week.
you halfway manage your team in week 1, you are in the playoffs.

Me? I told him week one wasn't a big deal. Even mentioned that it was only four games.

I remembered the post differently..went back and found it:
yea, the schedule worked in your favor..but the point is Knat could have made a move or two to win some of those cats.
There's a difference in streaming and managing.
Personally, I don't give a frick if someone makes 7 moves every week. It's equally easy to trade picks for players as it is to "stream" the last roster spot every day.

I didn't even stream in week 1, and it cost knat a few games in the standings, simply because of the way te schedule played out.

Yep. In our matchup I outgamed him by 7, but Ellis sat two games for being traded, Wallace sat one game, Crawford missed two games becuase of injury and a potential trade to Minnessota, Nash sat out 1 game, and Pekovic sat out a game. He's trying to blame the schedule but that's 7 games that were on his schedule when the matchup started.

this is where my arguement against streaming, outgaming etc... really comes in. Why should I draft guys only to have to drop them 2 days into the season to "manage my team," Why even put forth an effort to draft a team a certain way if Im just going to drop 1/3 of them half way through week 1? The fact that players are on 3 different teams in one week is pretty foolish to me and really just turns fantasy sports into some sort of lottery. Not that fantasy sports are rocket science, but if we are going to do it, why not at least pretend like homework and "smarts" makes a difference. At least in fantasy baseball we've pretty much made it where streaming doesnt help you.

I agree with this. I have brought it up in the past and it's always been shot down. I wanted 2 add/drops tops per week.
Like I said before, we'll address this as soon as the season ends as there seems to be more people open to making the change. I really don't remember you making a big deal about it before, probably because you were in the playoffs the last two years.

Which was a travesty IMO. I built my team around it from the start. Not saying its the reason why my tdbl team is where its at now, but it certainly didn't help.
Having said that, I don't think measures to effectively end streaming are going to hurt teams in this league like they hurt me in tdbl.

I'm not trying to "blame" the schedule. I'm trying to "blame" the system. Even with the fact that my guys missed games I would have beaten you pretty easily without streaming in place. Meaning the core team I've workerd to put together all year was better than the team you put together. Which I thought was the "point" of fantasy sports. Not team x picked up 7 scrubs off free agency to make up for the lack of talent on their team to accumlate enough stats to eek out a win.
With the system we have in place I dont blame you for doing what you had to do, hell I'm forced to do it this week, it's just pretty dumb to me and really takes any "skill" out of the thing IMO.

I have in both baseball and basketball. Baseball it was addressed after ronnie mex streamed his way to a title

I'm glad we stopped teams from building around streaming. The fact that you would even begin to build your team around streaming from the start is beyond retarded in the 1st place

Lol at Rick "building" any sort of team

what about team x trading 3-5 picks to make up for the lack of talent on their team.
Trading picks for players in fantasy basketball is equally as cheap as streaming. Takes equal amount of "skill".
You really want to make this league interesting and challenging, cut both out.

I'm not a proponent of the stream. But if the league allows it I am going to do it if it makes sense. TDBBL I have been fine spot streaming on average about 1 to 2 times a week, most times not at all. I think I have made about 3 transactions in the past 5 weeks tbh. Probably cost me against Port and is the reason I'm not in contention for a bye. But that's my fault for holding Landry Fields as long as I did.
