i know. you've significantly transformed your team. it's old, but you did do a lot of selling out last year
you just need to make sure you draft a young keeper option

I basically traded Gortat, Lawson, a 7 and 10 for Pau, Dirk, a 3 and 9.
Age is a bit overrated in this league. Dirk and Pau aren't slowing down much. I still have Dragic and Granger who arent old.

dirk has a men year last year, but it may have just been overall malaise in dallas
i like gasol. he had a good year even though he was playing 2nd fiddle. i only dealt him b/c i got back deron
gasol is the perfect 4/5 for my team. good FG/FT. points, boards, assists. he even blocks 1.5/game

i think it fits his team...but how does he think i was being cheap to only give up a 2nd for Dirk and then make that trade?
he essentially gave one of those guys away for free.

i think he was just obsessed with a 2:1 b/c he had "8 keeper quality players" or whatever he said last week
he's used to the old TDBBL when good teams during the year sold their #1/2 picks for players to win, and then in the offseason traded those excess players back for #1/2 picks
that hasn't worked in this league since last offseason. teams are rolling with 1-2 keeper options and saving those early picks

It was me adjusting to the new tdbbl model . I think Dwight will be a monster. if I'm going to have to choose between giving dirk up for a 2, or consolidating him into Dwight, I'd do it again. I've always wanted Dwight on my team. And going into the season with him in the fold means I can build my team around it.
the point is that I couldn't keep all of these players. and no one, including yourself was giving me fair value.

Bump
Regarding the injury slot, are you asking for an injure reserved slot for players out for the season or just a slot for temporary injuries?
I think the 1st would be fine but I am not sure about the 2nd one since there is no DL in the NBA.

I'd just leave injuries alone. That's just me

That would be my vote also but I'll put it to a vote.

Also, I have Evan Turner (SG/SF) for cheap. Not sure what to expect from him but he was pretty good at some points last season. 14/7/4 when he got over 30 MPG. 48%/76%

1 or 2 slots for both. ESPN polices this perfect. When guys are injured and missing games, they put * by the player, meaning they are eligible for the injured spot. I paid attention to it last year, there wasn't a time when a guy was playing or questionable and had the *. It was a clear injury and certain to miss games.
With only 15 roster spots, this is a big deal. Having 1 or 2 spots occupied by injured players can kill you in a week.
It's even more painful when a for sure keeper goes down. Your hands are tied.
It'll make the league more competitive, IMO...and also prevent from the early sell-out b/c of an injury

From ESPNs rule page:
quote:
INJURY DESIGNATIONS
The system uses the NBA's official injury list to update players' injury status.
MANAGING YOUR Injured Reserve (IR)
Players who are eligible for the injured reserve (IR) are designated with an asterisk and an "IR" in red. To move a player on your team to an IR slot click on the "Manage IR" link at the top of your team page. This link will only appear in leagues which use IR slot(s).
IR-eligible players can only be moved to the IR slot from your active roster or bench. Players cannot be added directly to your IR slot from free agency, as you must first add the player to an open bench slot.
To move a player from your IR back to your active roster or bench, click on the "Manage IR" link at the top of the Team page and activate the player.
NOTE: Once a player is off the IR (no longer IR eligible), the player must be placed back on the team roster before the team owner can complete another player related transaction (add, drop, etc.).
