Commish in one league where a team that is 3-9 and cannot improve their position is whining that they won't be able to pick anyone up off waivers.

Thoughts? This is a non keeper league, so rosters don't matter, and there is no consolidation bracket.

Some people are just competitive. Probably shouldn't be allowed to make trades, but hey they paid their buy in, so let them make the moves they want to make

You only lock teams if it's agreed upon and cured by the league before the season starts

May have grounds to stand on.

It was done last year (same person was in the league) but it was mutually agreed on at the beginning of the season.

This year, a few folks changed, but we didn't cover that scenario

I’m fine with them adding players is waivers. they can play it out. Trading is different.

Lock in keeper league. Play it out in non-keeper.

No one should be locked until season ends. They may want to play role of spoiler and should be allowed every chance to do so.

What if that team is playing another team that’s still fighting for playoff position? Kinda BS to give that team a “break” by locking their opponent from making their team better.

It’s more fun when every team is competitive until the end.

If it’s still the regular season they can affect the playoff picture so don’t lock waivers

Hey you could be like my commish, kick a few players out and set their lineup so it gets you into the playoffs

If you're not first, you're last. '

I dont mind being locked out regardless of if I know about it. I found that the 800lb man is the one who is not in the playoffs and still tries to take guys off of WW.

We have a gentlemen’s agreement wherein when you are eliminated you won’t trade or claim waivers, but can pickup players who have cleared waivers for the week.

Works out well.

Agreed. Plus in our league there are some potentially embarrassing consequences to finishing last, so you better keep playing to win.

Just because they're out of the playoffs it doesn't mean that their team can't knock another team out.

Once the playoffs start, that's different

ETA: Should the Browns be forced to start the same lineup they did last week from here on out?
