What is the boards opinion of these two? Who do you think gets more volume and who would be your day one starter? This would be my RB2 (Conner is my current RB1)

10 team PPR

TIA

Johnson for me.

I say that because I think he’s more talented, and Lions vs Cardinals WK1 or Packers vs Bears WK1. I expect KJ to be a Top 18 or so RB in PPR.

Thanks, what about Marquez Valdes-Scantling vs Courtland Sutton? It looks like MVS will be #2 with Green bay or Sutton with Flacco at QB?

I prefer Kerryon in PPR. I think he’s gonna lose goal line work to CJA, but he’ll make up for it in PPR with Theo gone. Aaron Jones still has issues with fat Jamaal Williams and a lack of commitment to him or to running the ball in general

Why TF is CJ Anderson playing 40% of the snaps w the starters in preseason vs Kerryon 60%

New coach hopefully Aaron Jones finally gets his carries. If he does look out....dude is a stud.

I think that is just keeping KJ from injury. It is hard for me to believe that CJ would cut in too much with his lack of pass catching abilities.

CJ is a good player, man. I think Detroit recognizes that Kerryon, while certainly the more talented player, comes with significant injury risk as well. I think they'll look to prevent overusing him. Look for CJ to get 10 or so carries a game, especially in goal line situations.

From what we currently know, KJ probably gets more volume in Week 1. But I think Aaron Jones will eventually convince the coaching staff he needs to be the guy. Just a question of if it takes them as long as it took McCarthy to wake up and give him touches.

If they're both getting the majority of touches for their teams, I think Jones will be more valuable just because GB>>Det. Plus Jones was Kamara levels of efficient with his touches when they finally started feeding him last year.

I like Kerryon more but I'd probably draft Jones over him just because of the Packers offense.

I don't really trust Stafford or the Lions to give KJ the touches he needs. If they were smart they'd feed him and he'd be a mid tier RB1. But that's not going to happen

I had this same question going into my draft. Luckily, I was able to catch both in the 3rd & 5th round so that problem solved itself. I picked Johnson first though if that helps any, he's got the potential to end up as a top 7-8 RB I think, which would make him a steal at his current ADP. Jones is no joke though, just depends on how theY utilize him in the new offense.

The only reason Kerryon is going in front of him is because they think he may not get a full load. Doesn’t really make sense considering CJ is in Detroit. So Jones has as good of a college track record, elite athleticism, a better offensive line, with a better QB in a better offense. And his sample of productive games was bigger than Kerryon’s. Especially as your RB2, Jones can be a league winner. Not really sure why he’s being slept on.

I can tell you didn't win your main league last season. CJ went off and showed true talent

Aaron Jones will be ranked ahead of Kerryon at the end of the season. I’m 100% confident of this.

Evidence: because lions

And this is how I can tell you don’t know football. Check Anderson is so awesome that he got a whopping 1 year 1.5 million dollar contract for a 28 year old running back. There was/is nothing special about CJ, he was getting carries in one of the best offenses the league has seen. He’s average at best. That DOESNT mean that he won’t play a lot. Teams value grind it out pound the rock running backs. They are reliable. So, he’ll eat into KJ workload even though the talent at this point in their careers isn’t close. 1. It’ll keep KJ healthy, which they are probably worried about considering they already lost him for part of the year last year and 2. Anderson will give them + yardage more often. Not a many home runs, but he’s a no nonsense back.

Aaron Jones also has to deal with Williams.

Gimme Jones in the better offense, but it’s close
