Just wondering. Anybody decide league champ based on who was leading at the time?

And by “decide”, I mean that’s what the app decided. League didn’t address it. Strictly outside of leagues where the winner was obvious. I’m talking about where it was a coin flip.
Here’s my predicament. I was down 4. I have Burrow/Chase. He has Allen/Buff K. The day after, he & I talked & said we’d split the pot but he said he wanted to be recognized as the winner. I laughed and said as long as we’re splitting the money, he could take out a billboard. Not a word about it since.
So today, e-mail gets sent out by the commish congratulating him as the winner & me as runner up. Payout coming but no mention of how. I’m assuming he’s still honoring the agreement but I’m getting a bad vibe. Lol
Now here’s the kicker…. he’s my boss. WWJD?

I was offered the championship and declined. I don't want to win it that way. We split the 1st and 2nd place money and did co-champions.

It’s what should be done. It was a bit of a rhetorical question cause it shouldn’t have to be asked. Hopefully it’s a non-issue. I like my job lol

My app (sleeper) decided the season was over before everybody talked about it. I was up and the predictor had me at 94% chance to win. I had chase and mixon and a 10 point lead. He had tee Higgins. I’m the commish so I didn’t want to have to make the decision but luckily nobody has complained about the app just ending the season.

We went with the league/app decision.
I was ahead 1.2 points going into the game...I had Allen and he had Burrow.
Burrow outscored Allen up to that point in the game, but we agreed that if the league wiped the stats clean, I would win based on both guys getting 0 points. Conversely, he would've won if the league kept the stats even if the game wasn't rescheduled. Ultimately, they wiped the stats clean and I won as a result.

Sounds like the easiest solution would have been to split. Odd decision.

I offered it, I was projected to win. The other guy said I want the championship

Our league was decided by who was leading at the time. To be fair, the projections were nearly 75 points apart...

We applied W18 scores to W17 and retro'd it. Team that was behind by 14 in W17 had Allen and Davis. Other team was finished. The two parties agreed to that. Team with Allen/Davis ended up winning.

Our dynasty league has some covid-related rules concerning game cancellations. We used those and when the game was cancelled, I was declared the champ.
This league has been around for 20+ yrs and we just play for pride...so being the champ means a lot. I was 13-1 in the regular season and leading when the game was called...not how I wanted to win it but I will take it.

My issue is that I was Up by a mile. There was a chance he could have caught me but It would have talent huge games.
We already agreed to split the pot. I offered To do a madden simulation and use those stats and I also Offered to split the title of his players got enough points the next week (they did not)
I am generally understood as the champion with maybe a soft *

We did this as well. I was done, but up 18 points. He had Gabe Davis, so I ended up winning. GD only scored 7 points in W18.
