- when he is ready he is a bad dude.
- Good QB and opposite of Juice he will be tough to defend.
- if he had been in training camp all along he would be a top 10 drafted WR.
BUT
- is he reliable and when do you draft him to not feel shitty if he is a bust as he could be because of history?

He's a huge wild card. It has been 5 years since he had that season. That's an eternity in football terms. But I'm really really tempted to reach for him to make sure that I get him. 4th seems to be about the expected round for him to go I think. I'll just make that decision in the moment I guess based off of how I feel and what seems to be happening with my team and the board.

he is a pass for me. too much baggage

I'm fading him, I can't do it.

Nah, I’m not doing a 4th for him. Maybe 7-8. Maybe.

I have the same opinion this year as I have the last several on Gordon. Way too much risk for my tastes. To me it’s not worth potentially sitting on a filled bench slot that may or may not be used or having him start and end up suspended. I’ll pass and let someone else gamble and I’ll be ok if it pays off for them. That’s fine that’s their reward.

Fading him unless he'll be my teams wr4. But I doubt he last that long

When was the last time he played a game? Who knows how good he is now or if he knows the offense?
I’d pick him if I had the rest of my team pretty well in place by the 8th or 9th round.

Week 16 2017, 4 catches 115 yards
He played 5 games last season

He’s 27 and in better shape than probably every NFL WR and is the most physically gifted in the league
This isn’t a question of how good he is or if he knows the offense. The question is if he can keep his head on straight and not get suspended

Which is why part of me is really tempted to go all in on Gordon this season...
If I could get him in the 4th and he ends up being a bust, there's so much depth at WR that it could probably be recovered from. And the upside is you got a Top 10 WR in the 4th.
I'd say there's a 70/30 chance that he screws up again and isn't a viable starter, but man that 30% is tempting.

I'm happy to take him rd 4 or 5

Right, it’s not like rd 4 or 5 is this hotbed on talent. It’s still full of guys who could tilt either way
Rd 4 in my drafted provided Smith schuster, alshon, Marvin jones, Baldwin, Arob, Cooper, Tate
Rd 5 cooks, Fitz, Garcon, crabtree
I’d draft him over all of those guys save Baldwin, Fitz and Cooper

Gordon may start moving up in later drafts though

I like him ok. But as a value only. I'd start looking hard at him in the 5th, which is about where he's going right now in 10 team leagues. Really depends on the 4 players I have already and if I'm in a spot to take an earliesh risk

It’ll take about one more Hard Knocks epi for Gordon to jump to 2nd-3rd rd. Dude is primed
quote:
Josh Gordon led the NFL in receiving yards in 2013 with 1,646 (18.9 yards per catch) despite being suspended for two games and catching passes from Brandon Weeden, Jason Campbell and Brian Hoyer. Such a unique talent.
quote:
Last year, 46% of Josh Gordon’s targets were catchable (93rd of 93 qualifiers).
In 2013, when Gordon had 1,646 yards and nine TDs in 14 games, 64% of his targets were catchable.
A 64% catchable target rate would’ve ranked 56th last year.
All he needs is a chance.

Gordon is one of the few players that almost a lock must start and no way I would draft him before the 7th round.

He looked totally jacked on hard knocks last night. Hard to pass on him after seeing the kind of shape he is currently in. Wow!!
