If it's 12 weeks and you don't have an IR spot I gotta think it's probably best just to drop. Even if he comes back for the fantasy playoffs, the Cardinals might be eliminated from the playoffs and won't rush him back. Palmer looked like complete trash and now no DJ...yeesh. Guess it depends on what's available on your waiver, but I'd think you need all the spots you can get to try to ease the loss of the #1 pick

I'd have trouble starting him in must win game the first week he's back from injury. Too unpredictable from a workload perspective. This fricking sucks. Expected to coast to a title with him and Zeke

It really depends on what the Cards are doing. If they're in contention then DJ is prob full go. He can still stay conditioned with a wrist
If they are bad then yea, he may not get run.

I didn't watch many of their games last year, but I had DJ so I paid attention to a lot of their game casts and it seemed like at least once a drive Palmer was either taking a sack, throwing a pick, missing a third down throw, etc. I know a lot of that isn't all his fault, but he certainly hasn't been a "great" qb lately. He's been serviceable for them... Better than then John Skeltons of the world
ETA: I also started him a handful of times as a streamer last year and was disappointed each time. Interested to see how he performs without DJ to lean on
