If I plan on taking Foster at 1, (12 team, standard, 6 pt TD) what's the earliest I should go after Tate? I was thinking 6th/7th since he will probably be taken before the 8th by someone else. With that being the case, if foster goes down anytime during the season (which is more than likely), Tate becomes a top 5 RB in the league IMO. So if McCoy and Rice are similar in value to foster and less injury prone, wouldn't it be safer to draft them at 1? Because if foster goes down, you basically have two number ones in your lineup. (Assuming Tate is still available in the 6th/7th)

he's definitely more important to you...

If he's there in 8th, I'm grabbing him (no shot at foster at 11). He's the ultimate lottery ticket.

He will be gone in the 8th so I'd target him in the 7th

I am in a league with several Texans homers. I got Foster in the 1st but wasn't going to draft where these guys got Tate. I ain't spending a 6 on Tate. However, I may have a guy by TE balls...I have Jennings he has MJD. Offering up Jennings to get Tate...

I actually try to do the same if possible. If someone grabs my handcuff, I just basically try to grab his. That way, a simple trade can be made and both parties feel better. Unless the guy is just a dick.

I'll never root for an injury, but I got Ben Tate in the 9th round and don't have Foster; so I'd be ok with a Foster injury...

more than likely? In 2010 the only time I recall him missing was due to a 1st half suspension against the Raiders and he still balled. He had the hammy issue last year, but showed no effects of it once healed. Tate is still worth owning, but I don't see a foster injury as something that's inevitable
