Ah gotcha. That sucks. One thing I’ve started to do is check Instacart to get an idea of who has what. The Flipp app is awesome too as it aggregates all your local weekly ads and makes them searchable so you can see who has whatever meat on sale that you want.

The local grocer here had choice brisket for 2.99 about 3 weeks ago. I called Tuesday and all they had was trimmed. It was $8.29 a pound.
My wife said lean ground beef is $6.99 a pound at Piggly Wiggly.

5.19/pound at my Costco. Got one for about $75 today

frick.

That.

Damnit I was buying these things like crazy 10 years ago for roughly $1/lb.

Finally accepted the new $2.50/lb reality at Costco but no way I'm paying that kind of money for something that is 40% fat cap.

I'm guessing pork shoulder is now over $2/lb too?

I didn't hoard toilet paper, but I filled 30+ cubic feet of freezer space in early March anticipating this.

Yeah I'm not buying brisket anytime soon. Super one main sale on the front page was a Boston Butt for $1.79

A sale for that is 79 cents lb.

Went a few days ago and were out. Stopped by earlier and had a few. Biggest one they had was only 5 lbs so should make for an easy smoke tomorrow.

I picked up an 11# butt at Kroger for $1.79/LB. (north Harris County).

That's bigger than I like to smoke because it takes so long but I'll put in on the Wickowick Primo XL Sunday and let it go..

Checked Winn Dixie. none to be had. Albertson's had one full of hard fat. Tramonte's wants $6.99 a lb. Mike wouldn't hook me up. I'm going to bite the bullet and buy one from Costco.
