Spinoff: Anytime Fitness or Snap Fitness

I currently go to Planet Fitness but if I get this new job opportunity I won't be close to PF. The two options I have that will be close are Anytime and Snap. Anyone know about these? Any help is appreciated

Depends on the location. My snap is 10x better than some. DBs go up to 150s and we have plenty of other weights and good machines. We even have a SSB

Check the both out, they are individually owned.
My AF has bumper plates, rower, ski erg, and a ton of regular and competition kettlebells. It's the only AF I've been to that had this equipment and a HIIT area to actually use them.

I am in Mandeville. I plan on checking them both out.

Anytime in Sulphur is pretty awesome. Huge Rogue rack with 4 powerlifting stations. Any machine you can think of. Definitely the best anytime I’ve seen

Mine is the one in Dutchtown.
My goodness it’s perfect.

I have not done free weights in awhile. I don't like to deal with the crowds around the free weights at PF, so I just use the machines. The idea of being able to free weights again is very intriguing

The local Anytime Fitnesses tend to be better than the local Snaps, but that doesn't mean every Anytime is better than any Snap. It would be foolish to not check them both out. There are many Snaps bigger than many Anytimes.

It all depends on the owner.
I used to train at an Anytime, and the manager was an avid Crossfitter. So he understood, and was completely fine with chalk and heavy deadlifts.
A new owner took over, fired the Crossfit manager, told me that heavy deadlifts were no longer allowed at his gym. "You can break the barbell," he told me.
"This barbell is 1" of cold rolled steel from Rogue fitness," (the crossfitter had ordered us some nice equipment), "besides, I don't drop my deadlifts."
He wasn't having it. He also told me that I wasn't allowed to use chalk any longer. I told him to tear up my membership.

I get the chalk thing, but what a retard. Unless you are pulling like 400 kilos or some thing
