If the gov’t really wants non-vaxed people to get the shot, they should make it illegal and tell people it doesn’t work. Then “leak” videos of rich white people getting it behind closed doors.

The data would suggest it significantly reduces your chances of severe outcome of hospilization, or death, there's no denying that.
The data also suggests it doesn't do much to stop you from contracting the virus.
It is not fully fda approved.
Vast majority of MD's got it, and trump also got it early on.
It's not a magic bullet, and you're going to have to really stretch and find some obscure tweets or something to find a link that indicates it doesn't reduce hospitalization, but im sure you could confirm your bias if you really wanted.
Do what you want with all that info and let's all fkn move on. Weigh benefits and costs and let's move on. I agree it's stupid to base anything on vaccination rate at this point.

Well said.
And I think this is an interesting point. If there was a medical emergency and all my friends jumped off a bridge, I would not do it.
But if the majority of MD’s, politicians, rich people, etc. jumped of a bridge, I give it a lot more thought.

So you don’t want the vaccine, wear a mask, etc., cool story bro, but the World is under attack by this thing right now. There are people in other countries that would give their left nut for a vaccine shot.
So my question is, what exactly are you doing to help our country fight against it? This is supposed to be the Greatest country in the world, but the people can’t even unite to fight against a Global pandemic.

None of that denies vaccinated people are more protected from severe outcome, so the quoted post is still correct. The only reason to get the vaccine is personal protection, and it still seems very effective at that and that's about it.

Cases don’t mean anything. Hospitalizations and deaths do. Vaccines appear to be very effective preventing those 2 things.

My parents are in their late 70s and have been very sick with Covid 19. I tested positive today. The nurse practitioner said that she is seeing as many positive cases among vaccinated people as unvaccinated.
