Just about to finish: “When a Crocodile Eats the Sun” by Peter Godwin.

I think next might be his other two memoirs. I’m fascinated about Rhodesia/Zimbabwe history

When a crocodile eats the sun is a great memoir regardless of the zimbabwe backdrop.

highly suggest to all

In the Sanctuary of Outcasts, by Neil White.
Basically, about a guy who was sentenced to Federal prison for bank fraud and served time at Carville, when it was a Federal prison AND a colony for people with Hanson's Disease.

His Very Best-Jimmy Carter, a Life. By Jonathan Alter.
Interesting details about Carter's life, in general, and his presidency, in particular. He made a greater impact on America than I knew. Especially interesting was the timing of the Iranian hostage release on Reagan's inauguration day.
Pack a lunch ... it's close to 700 pages long.

Just started Countdown 1945... Looks to be a quick, entertaining read, similar to the O'Reilly "Killing" book series

Just finished “for whole the bells toll” and started Dune. Love it so far.
Might have started a bit too early, movie comes out in October but plan to finish book, watch old movie, then new.
