And they moved two guys to safety this spring. They obviously aren’t comfortable with the position.

They are probably more comfortable post-Spring. The issue is that, other than bringing in a grad transfer gun for hire fir one year, another guy with longer term eligibility could get a recruit to reconsider or get someone we just signed looking at the portal before they get a chance to move up the depth chart.

This will be a constant balancing act going forward with the waiver now set.

That's kinda how i look at it.

It was just spring ball. They have 2 more safeties coming in with one being sage.

He will be starting somewhere.
I think they are waiting for a pass rusher to break free.

That or they may see TE as a bigger unknown if they know that either Gilbert isn’t returning or that he can’t play next year if he does (academics, suspension, etc). I know Johnson is coming in next year, but I’m not sure how they view what they have and Bech isn’t big enough to be more than a hybrid and will be a true freshman.

The depth chart clears up next year tho

Harris & Lewis are gone

Ward is draft eligible

Sage is a CB hybrid

And if you have 3 good safeties, you can play them all at once

I mean it’s not crowded at all going forward

Looks like it's auburn, florida state, texas, and tenn.

He hadn't been mentioned on any Texas sites until last night when the Auburn 247 mod tipped Texas 247 off that his final two are Auburn and Texas. Sark apparently learned at Bama that you can actually take 50 per class because lolncaa

I saw that they think he will follow Mason but Roach says Texas is in the thick of it

So, is he a better option than Major Burns?

Kaufman would get playing time at LSU. He's athletic and smart. He would quarterback the defense, he has ball skills, and he can return kickoffs and punts. He was leading the SEC in punt returns before he was hurt.
