Looks like he would fit in with our bench.

He's a 2/3 hustle, high IQ, defense first guy that (maybe) can shoot the 3 well enough and also has just enough dribble drive game to take it to the rack when they close out to hard on the 3. Who he might become really is a lot like Hart.

Are they playing him on the wing?

Lamelo couldn’t shoot in the NBL either. Maybe we just need to bring him over. I’d rather Didi get minutes than Sindarius tbh.

The Kings lost a close one tonight against the Brisbane Bullets. Didi's line:

16:44 minutes played, 6 points on 2-6 shooting, 2-5 from 3, 3 assists, 1 turnover, 2 rebounds.

No. But that's possibly Hunter's ceiling

I just looked for results of the Sydney Kings' game last night and realized that, somehow, I missed the news that Didi had suffered a high ankle sprain in that last game we talked about on January 26th. He's expected to miss several more weeks.

Didi is finally healthy and played last night for Sydney. His stat line against New Zealand:

Played 21 minutes, 4 points, 2-8 shooting and 0-3 from 3,2 REB, 2 STL, 2 AST, 0 TOV.

Didi Louzada is so hard to screen defensively. He does a great job of navigating through screens here both on and off the ball before he strips the ball

Video clip at the LINK of Didi successfully fighting through multiple screens on the same play and eventually stripping the ball. Some people have given up on him because hasn't been a great 3 point shooter, but his 3 point shooting isn't what stood out about him in the first place. It was having veteran savvy and awareness and a good motor as a 19 year old.

When the time comes where the Pels need cheap depth, I don't see why they wouldn't give him a shot.

at this point, i don't concern myself with someone that hasn't been with Vinson and their shooting. The odds are he'll get them to where they need to be.

Didi seems like a Josh Hart replacement, if for some reason we weren't going to bring him back, which i hope we do.

If Didi can end up shooting 3s at a decent rate, then I think he is very much in the mold of Hart -- a SG/SF who can defend well and run the break on offense.

If we get rid of Bledsoe and make Hart a starter, though, then there would still be minutes for Didi here next year (assuming, again, that he ends up being able to shoot 3s at an acceptable rate).

I wish I could watch a full NBL game to see if his defense is actually elite, or if it's just pretty good.

The problem with Didi, unless he’s grown taller is that he’s still going to be an undersized wing defender in the league. I don’t know what this front office has against drafting a 6ft 7 to 6ft 9 project with an elite defensive profile. There were a lot of those types available in the late 1st to mid 2nd rd this year.

I’m tired of watching Lonzo or Hart try to check someone 2-3 inches taller and sometimes 40 pounds heavier than them.

Set your VPN to Australia, then buy NBL TV ($5 Aus) and you should be able to

Didi doing his best NAW impression today, blowing uncontested layups and airballing threes

He’s still searching for offensive consistency, but @Didi (@SydneyKings) has taken an impressive leap defensively this season. Had a huge impact again last night with his D; guarding 1-4. He’s always active & physical & works from a low, wide base with high hands & active feet.
