I knew a Laotian man who spent several years in a North Vietnamese POW camp. He would say that some things are indeed worse than furniture shopping.

Yeah, but did he have to sit on 14 sofas in an hour and a half period of time?

They wanted us to pay 6k for the couch and they'd call us in 4 to 5 months when it came in, I just freaking laughed.

And it’s all back ordered 3 months I’m sure “due to COVID”

5+ months on custom orders when I was shopping around Christmas. I actually got a nice sale lady who was easy to deal with and arranged for her relative to deliver in his truck at a much lower delivery fee than the store charged.

If you have a defined design sense, it's enjoyable.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that this trumps furniture shopping. My 3rd ruptured Achilles surgery recovery is probably a notch or 2 ahead of furniture shopping as well.

I feel more comfortable on a used cart lot with a salesman who has prison tats peaking out from his starched white shirt than I do w/ furniture store salesmen.
