It’s officially damn the torpedoes time for O

His job is on the line he’s got one last season to make it work again. We know who we want as our DC and there seems to be a big gap between 1 and whoever 2 is on the list. It’s time to show that this is still LSU and we won’t be outbid for a guy we set our sights on. We got a great gift in a terrible season getting so many veterans to come back and still holding onto a top 5 signing class. If O let’s Freeman walk out that door to get on a plane to South Bend he will never see him again. He has to shoot his shot and make him walk away from $2 million dollars and the best facilities in the country with the most fertile recruiting grounds for Notre Dame where he will always be not good enough to compete with the elites.

You are a fool if you think O get fired for anything less than a losing season next year. Maybe the year after if we are talking 7 wins or less.

I agree but I do think it depends on how you lose those games makes a big difference too.
LSU is not losing any of these candidates based on money. it will have to be other reasons if they whiff.

I think Woodward is looking for a reason to send O down the road, deserved or not. I’m personally rooting for him to show last year wasn’t a fluke but to do it he’s got to surround himself with the best football minds because Xs and Os aren’t his thing. I like that he’s getting out of his comfort zone and looking at younger guys.

If assistants are the end all be all as LSU fans believe, u need to look at your head coach. ALL things should be dictated, planned, assigned and signed off by the head coach. If the head coach is not planning what needs to be done to win and making sure his assistants carry it out, he's not the head coach.
