I didn’t mean for this to turn in a bash Crewz thread
I need to watch more on Magnay...I don’t have a take on him one way or the other but I do see the potential but we shall see how he progresses. It’s a two way so low risk potential great reward situation

I like crewz, he’s entertaining
I’ll trust him on cap stuff but his player evals have generally been poor

he is just a 2 way player. he won most improved player and lead his league in blocks last season.
22 years old
6'10
234 lbs
right age and size IMO for a player to stash and see if he can continue to develop after having a breakout season. not sure why anyone would have a problem with simply kicking the tires here and seeing if our coaching staff can do something with him.
Also if Dallas, GS, and San Antonio was interested...I think I trust their scouts as well as our in terms of seeing if there could be more to Magnay.

If it was a joke it wasn't a very good one. I've seen so much melt on here lately over stupid shite that it didn't come across at all.

Not a truer word was ever written. Two days ago, most were willing to believe the Pels were going to roll with 14 players for the season. Now we have 15, one being a 6'10" big who will shoot a three (Coach Vinson, anyone?).

It's still 14, we just have both the two way spots filled now.
Have a read of what two way contracts are. They're external of the main 15 roster spots

You aren’t someone I’d ever spend any time with so I don’t really give a frick if you think it was good or not

People spend wayyyyy too much time focusing on positions. Today’s game is moving toward positionless basketball where you have bigs and wings. Magnay is a stretch big, which we honestly need. His style means he can be used on the floor at the same time as another center.
Also, this is a signing based on potential. He isn’t a guy we are expecting to have a huge role for us. To me, he is insurance in case Hayes doesn’t make progress or he turns into a Ryan Anderson type player who can spread the floor and defend inside.

Watching the clip of him knocking down one three after another, and there was something that I couldn't put my finger on that kept bothering me...until I realized that it was that he starts his shot so low for a big that it seems to take forever for him to get it off. I'm sure a quicker release can be worked on.

The more i read and watch Magney the more i like him, I have been doing some research on this guy and believe his skill set will really play into the way the nba is played today.
I predict by the middle of the season he will seeing 10 to 12 minutes off the bench, and could be a steal for the Pels

All bigs lineup! 5 centers on the floor at the same time!
