We are now 50-53 against our most storied rivals.

Coach Payton has 20 of our all-time wins (with nine losses) against the Falcons.

Nitpick but I think you are counting 1 win and 1 loss from the Bountyfarce year. So his win percentage is slightly better at 19-8.

I for one am shocked that the Falcs have been such a poor team this season.

I was there for the first one. 27-24 Saints win. Kent Kramer's td from Billy Kilmer on 4th down with less than a minute left in the game. 83,437 in attendance. When the game was over, the Saint players returned to the field from the locker room. The players lined up at the 50, and Eli Strand one of the team captains spoke for the players over the PA system. He thanked the fans while he was balling in tears. I'll never forget it. It was a love affair from John Gilliam's return. No better fans on earth.

Finish them off in 2 weeks, sweep them next year and we are at .500. Never thought we would be this close in record this soon.

We were 30-44 all time against the Falcons before Payton and Brees came along?

It’s hard to remember that we sucked that bad before 2006.

If memory serves, Mora and the Dome Patrol actually got the series pretty close before the Falcons ran off 10 straight in the 90's. I think Ditka never beat the Falcons as HC of the Saints. Ridiculous

You are absolutely correct. I can remember at one time, the series was damn near tied at 25-25, then the Falcons ran off ten straight between 1995-1999. I was at the game in 2000 when we broke that streak. The Georgia Dome was so gangsta for Saints fans!!!
