yeah I knew the kid would be really good, and it sucks the way he flipped. He did what he felt was best for his family so it is what it is. Just wish it was not a flip on signing day without giving our coaches reasonable notice

Yeah him and the Maryland kid were damn good and it sucked that we lost both, but if we can keep hold of Earle (who i think is just as good), and Smith, it won't hinder us 2 years down the road.

yes I do not see us worrying about WR talent for years to come, even after losing those 2 which would crush most programs WR room

Wonder if Kirby promised him to start.
He has been starting since day one

I’m sure he’s good, but Boutte and Koy Moore are making me forget everyone else.

Before last night, he only had 10 catches all season.

Against 2nd and 3rd string corners...

Kid played well regardless.

Him and Pickens are potential first round picks. Fact that he flipped on ESD was probably Kirby offering him more than just early playing time..

Pickens is the guy I wished we could have reeled in. He's an AJ Green, Julio Jones type guy. His catch radius is ridiculous.

But I read we didn't need him after he de-committed just like I read we don't need BTJ?

Pickens is the clear playmaking, go-to WR1 on that team and would be no matter how long each had been in the system.

Burton looks like a better Koy Moore. He’s not dynamic and nobody will ever build a passing game around him. Average combo of size and speed. More savvy than physical tools. But he’ll be a great #2 and complementary piece.

Pickens is the elite talent of those guys but Burton isn't a slouch by any means. A college passing game could easily pattern their scheme around him. He's not the athletic talent of a Devonta Smith but he's every bit as capable of producing the same type of numbers and playing the role Smith does. For my money he was the best of the 4 we had committed last year. Not the talent of Boutte but he's ahead developmentally and has a much higher floor. As I say often the difference between an elite wr talent and a good to very good one is minimal in terms of production. The elite guy can make 5-10 plays a year the other can't but overall it's nothing substantial.

I don’t disagree with a word.

Just not praising a kid for getting off against State.

Will he make a lot of big catches for UGA over the next 3 years? Probably.

Will a place like LSU miss him? Probably not.

Will he ever take over a game or be someone to make a big play when you need it? There are definite limitations
