That middle judge is void of logic

There will be a rematch of this fight.
I agree, but only if the fight is at 140. It is known in boxing circles that Lopez struggles to make 135 (and Loma is a natural 126 pounder). He has the victory and no incentive (risk vs reward) to do it again.

Just finished watching it
First: Teo looked like he weighed 10+ lbs more than Loma. You could tell Loma is the naturally smaller fighter.
The fight: Loma gave away 6 of the first 7 rounds by not throwing punches. Teo won round 12 imo. There was a round or two that was kinda close between 8-11, but Loma won most of those.
So, i had it 7-5 for Teo. I could see 8-4. Loma just showed up too late for the fight. I’m fine with his usual give up 2-3 rounds, but he can’t go out there and not throw punches for 6 of the first 7.

Read the articles on ESPN and its pretty obvious what happened here. Lopez was going to win the fight unless he got knocked out because ESPN has anointed him their new star/diva. Loma probably won't get a rematch because he would win.

As Letterman. That fight wasn't close.

Maybe if Loma had done something the first 7 rounds, even the 2nd in which he won he wasn't dominate. Lopez still controlled the center of the ring but Loma got a few combinations off giving him the win.
There were a few later rounds where either Loma or Lopez controlled the action for half the round and then the other controlled the round.
Lopez certainly came in with a different style that Loma didn't see to prepare for and he boxed smart. Near the end he was winded and tired but he showed some grit in the 12th by taking the fight to Loma. Dude deserved to win even though I thought he was going to blow it after round 9 when he was obviously tired.

Scores like 119-109 from Letterman are exactly why people left boxing.

And last night is why I’ll never watch a boxing match for another few years. I thought it was going to be a draw. Or 7-5 Lopez would have been fine. 11-1 Lopez is borderline corrupt. Even Bob Arum doesn’t want that judge employed anymore. UFC may have some whacky scoring sometimes, but when the one time in over a year you watch a match and the scorecards are like that? Nah.

Huge Loma fan here but those scores didn’t really surprise me. I honestly felt Lopez dominated and there was only maybe 2 clear rounds for Loma

Rounds 1,3-6,12 to Lopez
Rounds 2, 7-11 to Loma.
Did you leave to go take a shite or something after the 6th and come back for the last round?

What a shite fight. The first 7 rounds they landed less than 20 punches combined in each round ?

Round 2 isn't even that easy, Lopez co trolled the round but Loma landed some nice combinations nothing that hurt Lopez though. Lopez still landed more blows that round
