I did this once with Delta Airlines in 2008 or so. They texted and called because they thought I missed my connecting flight.

Then they suggested that I rebook the correct itinerary in the future “or else”.

I’ve flown hundreds of thousands of miles on Delta since then. They didn’t seem care that much and apparently you appreciate my business.

just dont frick up and book your returning flight with the same connection in DFW. I don't think you can miss your initial leg and get on board at your connection point. I'm bot sure they could legally stop you, but I am curious how that would play out.

If you told them at the gate, I really don't see why they would care? Its not that cool to just not show up for your flight, as said they may wait on you and could otherwise potentially fill it with someone else (not likely with Covid).

Yeah, I did it before I even knew skiplaging was a thing. I thought about calling when I landed and telling them I was going to miss the next flight, but just said F it. The gate agent did ask me about it when I checked in for my return flight. I told her I wasn't feeling well when I landed and decided to just stay there for the weekend with family.

The whole trip saved me around $120 doing it that way. Not sure I'd do it again since the airlines have wised up to it.

That’s what the guys on 9/11 did. Enjoy your flight, Shamamlalalalalala

Just tell the gate attendant you have explosive diarrhea and don’t think you should be flying your second leg.

Just don’t tell them you’re about to blow up the bathroom like the guy at Home Depot did

On a one-way ticket, the only risk is if your original flight gets canceled for some reason, like a last-minute mechanical problem. The airline will then rebook you to PHX, perhaps not routing you through DFW.

Oh you flying AA? you won’t make your connection anyway. I wouldn’t worry about it.

Read about someone getting banned from an airline recently for doing it. He had done it like hundreds of times though.

Tell them it’s running down your leg.
