I had both. Great ride, great shoe. The upper on both are trash, which is why I've not re-bought.

Yes indeed. 1st run in them this am. Upper is trash as far as what? Durability? Lockdown? Different strokes I guess, but I'm liking the upper, nothing much to it but I'll take that for the lighter weight. What type of material upper would you recommend that wouldn't add a ton of weight? Just curious...

I'm thinking the Run Fast may be my 5K shoe for the Fall, over the 4% and N%. I'll reserve the N% for 10K and above. Treating the RF as a flat basically. In my lineup at least.

Most of what I've read is positive. I tried them out a few weeks ago and decided on the Fuel Cell TC instead. I liked the cushion better. The Endorphine Pro was lighter, but I didn't feel as comfortable in them.

The first one had a tongue that was oversized which causes rubbing and liked to shift as well. Very durable though and very hot. Not Escalante 1 hot, but close.

The second improved the tongue drastically but was kind of overbuilt for a "light shoe". Felt bulky. Durability was suspect as it was starting to wear a hole in the little toe area around 250 and still very hot.

That sole with the Run Fast 1 upper is a world beater type of shoe. A true quiver killer that would be coming in around 7 ounces.

Oh shite, I was talking about the Run Fast this am when responding to your post. It all makes sense now and yes I agree with this for damn sure.

Yes, the FR Energy is very hot. Especially in black/Summer.

So, you've had a pair of the Run Fast 1?

Anyone heard anything on the Saucony Endorphin Pro?

Great reviews, but also hearing the Endorphin Speed is 9/10’s as good for a little less. Some people actually prefer the Speed to the Pro.

Haven’t tried a Run Fast but have to agree. Reebok’s energy foam is some of the best out there, the uppers just suck. I can’t for the life of me find a good fit on my 1.0’s. Trying to just get them to 250 miles and then start looking for a new daily again. Really considering the Rincon but also want to try the Saucony Ride 13.

2 pairs. Great all around shoe. Would continue to run them if I could get about 5 more millimeters of stack height throughout. Raced them once, wasn’t the experience I was looking for though. Hard to describe why.

Looks like Atreyu is up to something. Revealing a new shoe tomorrow at 10am. Based on pics from insta and FB, looks like they’ve taken the Voyager shoe and put it on a new, thicker, and possibly plated midsole.

Also, I bought some Hoka Rincon’s on sale the other day. Excited to try them out.

If there’s such thing as too much cushioning, Bondi is it.

Is there going to be a second drop for the Alpha? I apparently was on two imaginary lists for it at my local running shop. I should have queued on Nike instead of trusting them. Little did I know that they would refuse to sell them to me. One of their runners got a pair in my size and the owner also wears the same size as me it turns out. Shop local y'all, lol.

BRM,

I got an email from Nike today that they will release some more on 8/13 @ 9am.

You have to create an account with your info ( email, phone, payment card, size ) and request a spot in line from their portal at that date & time.

I dont care about colors but they do look like watermelons.

So did I. I love them. Ive run two long runs (10 & 11mi) in them so far and they are light as a feather

Same here. Absolutely love them...except for one thing...I get some rubbing on the inside near the ball of my foot/big toe. Feels like my foot very slightly overhangs the edge of the shoe. Swapping insoles has helped, 8 miles planned for tomorrow to see if it goes away.

Had this exact same problem anytime I ran over 5 miles in them. I ultimately decided I wanted more cushion and returned them, but glad you guys are liking them.

You wanted more cushion or more bounce? Think the Rincon is 27/32 stack height. For me the cushioning is just right, doesn’t feel bouncy like React Foam, but it’s good enough.

One other gripe is how quick the sole wears. Though that’s mainly bc if they don’t work out for me after tomorrow’s long run, returning them could get tricky.
