I'll text coach O and ask for you!

I don’t know. Let me ask my sources. He is a good player. Very talented kid. I am glad you are from Hernando. Good for you.

Truly depends on how we view our other corners. We have a few corners ahead of him for sure but he should get some playing time next year. I wouldn't expect alot playing time though.

Athletically he is on the same level as Stingley. He is still learning CB but he will play. I doubt he starts because of the talent in front of him.

Well we know from watching Justin Jefferson jump ahead of many more highly recruited receivers on the depth chart, that the best player plays for LSU, not the most highly recruited.
So Jones will have his chance in the Spring to win his spot. Being a "good player" doesn't mean all that much. All of the defensive backs at LSU are good players.
I remember a lot of good hype about Jones when he committed to LSU. It seemed though that Flott and Ward were ahead of him on the depth chat.
Maybe that's because Jones was mostly a qb in high school who needs more time learning the corner spot.
He sounds like a super talented kid. My magic eightball says:
"Concentrate and ask again later".

Thanks guys for you’re responses. Georgia picked a great linebacker off of this state championship team. I live close to Olive Branch and the offensive lineman we picked up will be good also. Again thanks

So why are you telling us about yourself before asking a question?
Posted on 3/5/20 at 2:42 pm to JimNat
Jimmy Details said that he was going to blow up in the next season or so. Has the frame and very high potential.

He will probably play a ton this year. He might start. The coaches say he is one of the best athletes on the field.

Wasn’t going to answer the question until you said you’re from Hernando, Mississippi

He will get playing time this year and he will impress. He's a bit behind the 8-ball due to having to learn the position and Ward/Flott showing promise.
We have an embarrassment of riches at CB, it's ridiculous

Based off what exactly?

I know the hope is that he makes the transition like Mo Claiborne did going from QB to CB.
He probably needed to develop physically and learn the position, but his athleticism is elite and transferring QB knowledge to playing DB can only help.
quote:
"A high school quarterback who likely projects at corner, Jones is a top athlete, posting great testing numbers on multiple occasions, including a 4.00 second shuttle and 40.7 inch vertical jump at The Opening’s Atlanta regional," Power wrote on Friday. "The Magnolia State product drew praise from SEC staffs during the summer camp circuit and recently impressed 247Sports’ Gabe Brooks in person. Jones is thin at 6-foot-1.5 and 160 pounds but has a good frame to go with his outstanding athleticism."

Stingley has legitimately generational athleticism. This is not a knock of Raydarious, but he is not on that level. No one is.

This area up here has always been good for LSU. The two new Ms coaches at Ole Miss and State May slow that down I was born in Batesville Ms which is home to power house South Panola.
Thanks for info

Yeh but Stingley and Ricks were the only players that could’ve gone anywhere in the country. McGlothern had pretty good offers but Flott And Ward weren’t highly recruited either.

Greedy Williams was also not the highest ranked DB we had and redshirted as a true freshman and we all know how that turned out. We’ll just have to see how practices go and how things play out. I personally am high on Jones future he had been practicing really well at the end of last year.
