Banning “Tandem” Floats is another knee jerk reaction

These floats have been this long and with multiple pieces for at least 30 years.
The problem is not the floats.
The problem is lack of personal responsibility.
Latoya’s reaction is typical govt nanny state that thinks you waive a magic wand and govt away human stupidity.
You really want to protect the public from itself.
Just ban Parades all together.
That’s the state of the world today.

You would think someone in the krews knows someone and would have a judge pecker slap her but as always, bacchus panders to it. Canceling Endymion was a dumb decision, and "banning" floats is a dumb decision. After listening to the police sup on the news, it's not surprising. God help New Orleans

In an effort to protect the public from itself I think Latoya also needs to ban the following
large crowds congregating
Alcohol sales at public events
People yelling and cheering to loud at saints games.
We also need barricades along the street car lines so that no one attempts to cross

We need IQ and coordination tests for the parade going public. If you're too stupid to know not to get between floats, then you should at least exhibit the athletic ability, reflexes and speed to avoid getting run over. To simulate real world conditions, all testing should be performed with a minimum BAC of 0.20.
