How to keep dogs off my lawn?

Anyone have any good tricks to keep dogs off their front lawn? My lawn has been decimated this year by neighborhood dog pee. I deal with my back yard because it's MY dog, but my front yard is another thing altogether. Any suggestions? I tried pouring 2lbs of cayenne pepper in it.

You can't do it. Put up a sign that says "Don't let your dog pee on my front lawn" and hope the people walking their dogs abide by your request.

My mother lives in a neighborhood of houses with very small yards. There is one house down the street that has a couple of the "Don't let your dog use the bathroom" signs in the yard. It seems to work, for I don't see any random crap in their yard, where I do see others.
But, of course this only controlled by residents walking their dogs. Obviously, dogs on the loose aren't going to read any signs.

BB gun to back hips. Plenty of meat to take it and not be fatal. One pump or single cock. Works well. And never have to do it a third time. Cats too.

i can 100% assure you this works
i helped hook one up for a friend and doubted it would do much good but dogs will now circle across the street rather then walk in his yard.
the added bonus is it does the same for cats and the occasional armadillo or opossum

Build a vet clinic on your front lawn.
