frick Blizzard. They sold out their own country to appease Chinese communists. I fricking loved Diablo and World of Warcraft. Played WoW hardcore from Burning Crusade through Cataclysm, and played sporadically for each expansion. As a proud American and believer in Western democracy and Christian values, I'll never give them another dime.

Every single person with any sort of game development talent has long since left that company. All the original founders are gone. All the people who created their flagship IP's are gone. They've been coasting off inertia for a decade now.

This is the DNA of all "progressive" ventures from politics to business
They CANNOT create something on their own adhering to their 'deeply held principles"
ALL they can do is subvert something created by OTHER people who were interested in practical results rather than displaying "woeness"
Just like COMMUNISTS have never EVER created a functioning government - they MUST inveigle themselves into an existing successful enterprise and work to subvert it - then it soon collapses from it own fundamental idiocy.
Seems like there should be some sort of warning label required by govt akin to
"smoking is detrimental to your health" that was put on cigarettes back in the 60s

Blizzard lives in their little liberal bubble. They are completely out of touch with the general population. These are the people that got booed at E3 because they thought Diablo players wanted a mobile game.
Ubisoft is just as bad. They have a Women of Ubisoft group that talks about feminism, sexism, intersectionality, and all the other isms, yet they hire Lil Jon as a spokesman for one of their latest games. These hypocritical progressive dumbasses have invaded the video game industry like they did Hollywood. Game studios make great games but then they are ruined by the publishers like Blizzard, EA, Ubisoft, and Activision. These shitty companies push their liberal bullshite on the people that actually make the games because they control the purse strings.

Great post and it reminds me of something Rush has said a lot lately and it is so true...lefties and progressives literally freaking destroy everything they touch. Find me one thing that doesn't hold true to that statement. Might not be immediate but the demise of all they infiltrate does happen, it's inevitable because the left's "core principles" are simply destructive and ill fated.

They created the mobile Diablo for China and didn’t understand why their core audience booed it.
So they put a team to work making an actual Diablo 4. And turned it from an isometric duggeon crawler into a first person looting fighter game a la Destiny.
I’m not sure if the stupidity here is on the company itself being out of touch or the money men being so dumb that they insist every game be using the same two or three economic models regardless of how it meshes with the IP and its history.
