Probably more expensive to manufacture, the reason people buy it, because of the gastric motility and sustained blood sugar levels. I've read tons of anecdotal experiences using various intra carb sources, to be honest, it's individual. Some people just stick with gatoraide, others react better to hbcd. Personally, I feel the best with karbolyn.

I haven't studied DAA very much but if will not raise your total test levels out of the range.

Yea it's individual, but hcbd tends to be the best but it's expensive as it's complicated to manufacture, same with peptopro

There’s also some research showing that DAA supplementation can actually lower T levels as opposed to raising them

What's the word on some of the nootropics being put into preworkouts? I bought preformax hypermax pwo and it used some nootropics in it.

Well I ran out of the hypermax and got the Dr Hyde pwo without caffeine, it's got some focus stuff in it. I just drink some coffee before workout for right now to get my caffeine.

NA-R-ALA

What are the benefits—if any—of this over just ALA? I ordered some ALA along with some Berberine, should I have opted for the NA-R-ALA instead?

I’m also not sure I understand the difference between NAD+ and NMN, though they are clearly related. Any recommended brands? I was looking at Alive by Nature, but see Shannon Sharpe pimping Tru Niagen the other day.

Finally, I ran across a YouTube vid of Dr. Mark Hyman raving about glutathione, calling it the “mother of all antioxidants,” and espousing its virtue as a nootropic as well. Any experience with this and recs on dosage and/or reputable brands?

to this thread btw. Recently turned 40 and am suddenly super concerned about about just how trash I treated by body in my 20s and early 30s. Some of the chickens are already coming home to roost and I’d like to keep the rest at bay as best I can.

FWIW I tried Tru Niagen for a bit and saw zero results.

Normal ala....well it's really unstable, same with r-ala. Needs to be NA-R-ALA to notice the blood sugar regulation effects.

Brand doesn't matter as it all comes from a single source who has the patent.

What are you trying to improve? What are you doing now for diet and exercise and are you consistent?

I would like to get some recommendations on supplements and vitamins, which of them are really worth it

Protein, creatine, caffeine.

The rest, if you're deficient in it, it will help. If you're not, it won't do much.

That's it for the basics, at least, without knowing more about your situation and goals.

Any thoughts on the benefits of Sulforaphane for health and aging?

Listened to Dr Rhonda Patrick discuss the topic and she made it sound like homegrown broccoli sprouts were the fountain of youth. I’m thinking about purchasing a kit to grow them at home, but I’ve read some commentary (nothing scientific) about hyperthyroidism being a concern.

Listened to the same thing and had the same questions. Also in the middle of her podcast with Dr. Longo discussing the many scientific benefits of fasting.
