What’s up with Fat Cow? It used to be a great place with a kick arse burger. Was even so organized, it felt semi-chain. Went there tonight. Aren’t serving beer any more and the place is filthy. All the staff staring at their phones. WTF. This place used to be great.

Lived next door to it for the past 5 years. Has gone down drastically.
Only thing still decent are the fries. Shakes are good too but aren't worth what they charge.
Rumour for the last 8 months or so was that they were shutting down. I think it's coming soon.

Has to be. Inventory on multiple items was noticeably low. Bathroom was disgusting. Sorry to see this.

Agreed, but that area has gotten pretty saturated with burger places. Unfortunately FatCow didn't adjust their product or prices.

It's a shame. I use to love their burger and would go quite frequently when I lived in BR. I went 2 years ago and it just tasted like crap. Went back a month later hoping that it was just an off day but unfortunately the place had just gone down hill.

Duck fat fries and tiramisu milkshake were fire. The burgers were very meh, but they did get very creative with the toppings which I liked.

Man, it's crazy you posted this. I echo many things said here. Went a few weeks ago and they had raised the prices on stuff, while turning out the worst product i've ever received from there. And ya'll are so right about the place being disgusting. The floors, the tables, the bathrooms, behind the line, it was all awful. When that place opened 6-7 years ago, it was one of the top burgers in BR. Hate it has gone down hill so much.

Yeah, the last few times I have gone to FC it hasn't been as good. Can't remember the name of the burger, but it had a shite ton of onion strings on it and it was amazing. Their peanut butter and chocolate shake and duck fat fries were also really good. Sad.

Liked the delta burger, smokestack burger. Fries were great. Onion strings were great. And of course the chocolate peanut butter malt.

This is an unfortunate trend with restaurants in Baton Rouge. If they can't become a massive chain after a few years, the buzz seems to die down and eventually the money stops coming in and the product declines.
Fat Cow was good around 2011 when it first opened. There weren't a whole lot of places around LSU doing "gourmet" burgers, though they seem to be a dime a dozen nowadays. Hell, I still miss Deano's pizza in that spot.

Are the original owners still there...there were 3 guys that owned the place...two of the guys were cool guys...the third guy was a real prick....
