Opened yesterday, tried it out today.

I was impressed. The building is kinda small but the food was great. My kid got the pot roast with rice & gravy, I thought it was good. Meat was very tender. Smoked Gouda Mac n Cheese was good.

We tried the pulled pork cheese fries, which were good but there was a ton of cheese on top. I feel like they should have put the pulled pork on top the cheese...idk?

I had the ribs & pulled pork. Ribs were very tender & pulled pork very moist. Their sauce on the table was very good, sweet sauce & hot sauce. I got pork n beans & loaded potato salad as my sides. Potato salad was questionable. It was more like cold mashed potatoes with a ton of mayo, didn’t care for it.

Overall, this is a nice addition to the area. I hope it does well.

I guess this means the Pville location has done well. I’ve had it a few times and it’s been good, not blow you away good. But good enough to go, didn’t care for the brisket too much. It’s the folks that own Jasmines on the Bayou on Jones Creek.

They had it together for sure. It wasn’t crazy busy but everything seemed to flow smoothly.

Went today for lunch. Ribs and smoked wings were great. Order was correct and they had plenty of staff. It's not the best BBQ, but it's pretty damn good.

My only criticism is why do restaurants continually give us only the thinnest fricking napkins possible? I must have used 35 of the cheap arse brown single dispense napkins on the table.

Herb has been doing this restaurant thing for a long time. Not only does he have his ducks in a row, but if you give him 24 hours, they will be Peking ducks.

Perfectly stated. I feel the same way about it. I keep trying BBQ places around BR hoping to be blown away but haven’t found one. I started thinking maybe it was just me getting old and hard to please, lol.

Have you been to a Barbosa's pop up? They are far and away the best BBQ in BR. Wish they'd open an actual store.

No but I’m intrigued. Any idea when/where they’ll be next?

They're usually at Merchant on Sundays at least a couple times a month.

Give them a follow on Instagram, it's the best way to keep track of where they'll be. They are usually at places like Overpass Merchant, Tin Roof, or Caneland.
