I’d say until you go south of Lake City. Maybe Gainesville. I lived in southern Illinois and it was a lot more “southern” than anywhere I’ve lived in Central Florida.

Southern Illinois is culturally more southern than several parts of the actual geographic south.

False. Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade are not the south.

But Okeechobee, Indian River, St Lucie and Martin County are the South even with their transplants and they are all south of Orlando.

I agree but nowhere along the A1A / I 95 corridor is the south nor do people identify with it.

Has your lazy white arse ever set foot in Yulee? It might as well be the Delta.

Atlanta by contrast is the south geographically and way more culturally southern than anywhere in FL, urban or rural IMO

Geographically, yes. The rest of the sentence tells me you don't know much about Atlanta.

ATL has that old antebellum yet modern vibe we just don’t have in FL.

What the frick kind of bubble do you live in?

Plenty of NC is the South. Anyone that doesn't think so has never spent a week in Wilson or Lexington, NC like I have.

Yeah I was saying NC is definitely part of the south. Virginia is debatable.

The line for Florida is NORTH of Orlando. I-4 is the line. Tollway 407 is generally the split between Orlando and the tourist part of Orlando (south.)
