Hung out today with a guy in ETx whose friend came over w his dog. It didn't take long before we put that dog out in the pond. Incredibly beautiful animal and worked his tail off. First one I've ever seen in person.

Man I cant stand all these fox red and silver lab things running around.

Get a yellow or black lab like the Lord intended.

The fox reds have been a dark variation of the yellow for a pretty long time now. They have been popular in Britain for a long time and are really starting to gain popularity here. Most of the fox reds tend to be from British lines and are generally smaller in stature and more laid back than their American counterparts.

That's what I was told as well. They are a couple of hundred years old as far as a total hunter in Britain. Maybe more I'm sure. Not as if they are an Instagram breed or some such.

they’re just labs, just like yellow chocolate and black ones. Regular ol labs that happen to be dark yellow.

“Silver” labs are just ugly Chocolate labs.

While I’m at it, crossbows aren’t bows, they’re either white perch or sacalait, and the designated hitter is an abomination.

The lab color argument is funny but 1 thing can’t be argued. If someone is breeding labs for traits such as intelligence, drive, and physical soundness then the color they happen to be is irrelevant.

If people are breeding labs solely for coat color you are going to end up with a cool looking dog that ain’t good for shite.

I got one. He is a smart mfer and will retrieve all day err day. I get more compliments on him than I do my real yellow and black labs. So far hardly any problems health wise that you get with chocolates and silvers.

I have a red British lab and a chocolate. The red is very laid back and great in social situations. The chocolate is nuts and full of energy! The red is pretty independent and the chocolate is by my side constantly. The chocolate gets himself in trouble a lot, but he’s not dumb. I’d say they’re both equally smart, the chocolate is just constantly looking for new ways to entertain himself.

I have one, great dog. Well for the most part, she’s very fond of bread and anything on counter.

I’ve got one, he’s 3 this year and has been a great dog for me. He got a little bigger than I expected him to get but he’s got a great build & with the right diet he stays really lean. Works like a champ, he was naturally attune to retrieving before I even put him on a training program. Came from the Huntfield lines.
