What is that system?

If it’s so successful in regular season because it’s annoying to gameplan against, why don’t more schools use this “system” that you defined with the first question?

UVA has success in the ACC because they’re the only team running that annoying arse system. What are you gonna game plan for? The one strategy you’ll see one or two times a season or the styles that are far more common?

Mid-majors usually see all the styles so they aren’t afraid of UVAs geriatric pace. I have Purdue over UVA in the elite 8. Similar styles but Purdue is smoking hot from 3 land.

This is all dumb.

I mean, I'm biased as hell, but how can anyone not admire or respect Bennett? 100% genuine, doesn't default to meaningless "coach speak", runs his program the right way. I love the guy and am all aboard the 'Hoos train.

They don't redeem themselves until they win a damn championship, last 6 seasons they've entered the tournament one of the top teams, favorites, in the pecking order and underachieve and lose before the Final Four mostly to teams they're ostensibly superior to. This is actually emblematic of Virginia mens basketball as a whole because, when Ralph Sampson played there, they were generally always the top 1-2 teams in the country yet always lost to teams they were superior to in the tourney with exception to 1981 North Carolina in the Final Four despite UVA possessing the better W-L record I mean it's a Dean Smith-coached team y'all they get a pass for that.

I think they’ve definitely redeemed themselves now.

And I’ll stick by my earlier statement in saying that their title the year after the most historic upset in the tourney is one of the all time great college hoops stories.

It’s a fantastic story. Worthy of a 30-30

It’s special because in the era of one and dones, this is a team that suffered together and came back together.

Guy, Salt, Jerome, Hunter, etc...all experienced the up and down.
