Im confused how both Tenn and Kentucky still remain ranked higher than LSU.
Tenn SOS is in the 60s
Kentucky and LSU are 17 and 18 respectively.
Why we the frick are we not in the top 10, but they are both in the top 5?

The Arkansas and Florida State losses are the ones that sucked the worse to me.

Those aren’t the updated AP rankings in the screenshot. The rankings come out tomorrow but I have no doubt LSU will still be ranked behind both UK and Tenn

This isn’t that hard. Going into this week, we didn’t have a single win over a team that is currently in the Top 25. The parity in the SEC has a lot to do with it.
Obviously we now have a really good top 5 win. Get another one we should definitely be in the top 10.

Well Tenn has an overall better record and the same conf record. They have wins over Louisville and Gonzaga, and both losses came to good teams with one in OT. They should be ranked higher. Kentucky is Kentucky unfortunately. They are probably where they should be. LSU is underranked but with a couple ugly losses I don't think they belong in the top 5 yet. It'll work itself out. If we win the next 2, LSU will definitely be in tge top 10.

They both play in the SEC too...
Tenn got beat by Kansas and barely beat the Zags. Then lost to Kentucky.
Kentucky got trounced by Duke and lost to LSU.
Again, Im looking at Tenn SOS in the mid 60's.
One win over Gonzaga doesn't warrant a #1 ranking.

You can still get 60/1 odds on LSU BB winning the national championship. Was 90/1 two weeks ago. Probably won't happen but at those odds I put $40 on them yesterday.

I do think we’re deserving of a top 10 ranking and a 3 seed at this time though. We can start talking about a 2 seed if we go 2-0 this week and beat UT. That would put us in prime position to win the SEC

Rankings are subjective and it matters where teams start the season. If we were ranked 10th to start the year we would probably be ranked 6-8 right now...it’s hard to climb from out of the top 25 to top 10

This makes sense.
Im a basketball rankings novice so I didn't know if they used certain metrics or if the rankings were subjective or some combination of the two.
