Why hasn’t the Saints organization been more irate publicly?

At some point, and we’re probably there, all the complaining will be too late.

However, why wasn’t the Saints organization more public with its disgust? Why didn’t they demand action?

Given the opinion of most in the media, news outlets would have run with it forcing the NFL to respond.

By remaining silent, they are an accomplice to the screwing by not forcing a response/action.

They've seen the punitive wrath of Goodell and the NFL firsthand.

I mean does GB seem like the kind of owner that’s going to make a stink and demand answers?

We’re the smallest market and have the weakest owner.

ETA: should’ve played the misogyny card

easy to say when lashing out doesn't hit your pocket book for 6 figures

Publicly bashing them won't change the outcome one bit and it'll only cost you a lot of money.

I think guys should be able to openly criticize NFL officials without fine because those guys are paid professionals but that's a different argument

suspensions
lost draft picks
insider retaliation through scheduling

there are just too many ways to count how hard the NF?L can frick the saints if they dont shut up and sit down on this one

the fix was in, everyone knew it and saw it, but still, at the end of the day the saints had many chances to get points so the refs couldnt decide the game. they didnt do that so the NFL fricked them hard

What else is there to lose? They already took away a potential dynasty from the bountygate bs and now this?

Maybe they like what they are hearing from the league, in terms of providing a resolution.

Yeah we might end up with back to back Thursday games and 3 consecutive road games

it's actually not a different argument. These refs being immune to backlash from the people they directly affect is, in my opinion, part of the reason they fricking suck so bad.

And if they are crooked, this setup enables it. You can be crooked when no one with any clout is allowed to call you on your crookedness.

Then they'll come off as whiny. The media is driving the point home for us so far.

who even gives a frick at this point. If this team can get fricked out of a super bowl, we will probably never see another one in our lifetime. Just burn the fricking place down.

I also get its a hard job and a lot is asked of them....but its also the NFL's fricking fault for not embracing the technology to take things off their plat. I think that's the most infuriating part of it all. Why does a frick job like this need to happen before you address shite that's been obvious for a while?

All it fricking took was allowing penalties/no calls in certain situations to be reviewable. That's it. But that would require asking your employees to admit fault. NFL wants no part of that, apparently.

CSP kind of went scorched earth in his press conference. Not sure what else more the team can say or do. Anything else will probably result in a fine (and they might fine CSP still).

Why would ownership rock the boat anymore? The powers that be already dislike CSP and the management in place. Why piss them off more???
