And iwy, Jesus Christ, it’s nothing personal against you. You set up the tournament (did it well) and laid out the rules, and people just violated them. There’s no way a room temperature IQ moron like imjustafatkid had seen (or even heard of) all 64 of those movies

ty sir.

No hard feelings I just got frustrated with people complaining every single round. Mainly blueboy, who just jumped in, didnt vote, and complained about the format.

Simba finds Mufasa

Both are fricking brutal for a kids movie. And they're identical. Lion King is the Amy Schumer of Disney Movies.

But, the GOAT death scene:

Take her to the moon for me.

Cant believe I just watched all of those. All of those are brutal. I concede, TLBT did it first, and better. That's one of my favorites, but i have honestly never given any thought to Lion King ripping off of that. But you're right.

Inside Out hits you pretty hard too. That was the 1st thing me and my wife talked about after we got out of the theatre.

That movie was mainly arse with the exception of when Broly raged. Also helped they had Pantera in the background.

This is so non-canon it hurts.

Anyone surprised that a Movie/TV Board voting thread turned into a disaster must've missed the great Movie/TV Board Logo discussion and voting threads of 2013. That was an abortion.

Probably too many tournaments here lately, but let me know what you think might be a fun one and i'll run another sometime.

I’d like to see one for Anime. I don’t have much knowledge or awareness of the great Anime films out there but I took it on this boards recommendation to watch Your Nane and was blown away at how much I enjoyed it. Also watched Steins;Gate (although this is a series) and enjoyed that.

I realize there’s a huge anime thread floating around somewhere on this board but I’d really like to see what rises to the top on this board.

Yea that'd be nice. The only thing about that is I dont know how much action it would get. There were a couple anime's in this tournament and in the 1st round youd be hard pressed to say they weren't better than the movie they were going against, but they all lost in the 1st and 2nd round, I would say mainly bc the lack of people who have actually seen them.

This guy gets it.

It feels way more manufactured than something like Land Before Time or An American Tail, both superior films. Throw in Spirited Away and Lion King is like maybe in the Top 5. Maybe.

It has some solid songs and some memorable performances, but the movie itself is trite. The relation to the Japanese film alone should keep it out as a winner.
