No chance in hell did Clemson have our players practice for Bama prior to ND.

Clemson May have had support staff guys absolutely gameplan for both Bama and Oklahoma during those 3 weeks prior to ND. Just like every other team would do during the playoff.

Former Clemson OL and current media guy says his staff contacts absolutely dispute the tweet posted by OP. See Cle Ferrell’s tweet below. It would be ludicrous if Clemson players game planned at all for a game that may have never been played.

Yeah Bama had the #1 seed but got fricked by the draw. We should have been playing ND instead of Clemson. Everyone knew ND was a sleepwalk game.

The sense of petulant entitlement Bama fans have still amazes me after all these years.

That’s a week more than Chavis spent preparing for Notre dame.

poke to a staff member at Clemson. Tigers prepped for Bama all bowl season & spent just one week on Notre Dame.
I said at the time, when Clemson put up:
63 on Wake Forest,
41 on NC State,
59 on Fla State,
77 on Louisville

in consecutive game, they were gearing up for Alabama. It wasn't running up the score or poor sportsmanship, they were sharpening their offense to perform as good as it could. They treated those games as extended live practices, because they knew Bama's defense was tough, and also because they knew they'd probably have to score into the 40's just to outscore the Tua offense.

They came in ready. Bama's offense didn't perform as efficiently as it should have, but Clemson was prepared to beat them even if it had.

And ND still has not won a National Championship in 30 years.

More recent than Georgia, too.

Yeah that wasn't it. Most of those games Lawrence didn't play the 4th quarter at all. Clemson was on a mission all year... no doubt. They wanted to be the best, and probably expected to have to go through Bama at some point.

In my lifetime, we are 0-2 against ND in games of any importance

They actually had the more difficult task/preparation in the semi-finals than Clemson had

Considering Alabama's pussy regular season schedule and the fact that they get in the CFP every other year without even winning their division, nobody feels sorry for you.
