Let’s have some fun and post your trade deadline predictions for the Pels.

My prediction is three team trade with Hawks and Bucks.

Pelicans receive Bazemore, Prince, Lin, Ilyasova, Bucks 2019 2nd rd pick

Bucks receive Randle, Moore

Hawks receive Solomon Hill, Wesley Johnson, Brogdon, Maker, DJ Wilson, Pels 2019 1st rd pick (protected 1-14)

Pelicans rotation:

Payton/Lin/Frazier
Holiday/Jackson/Clark
Prince/Bazemore/Miller/Williams
Mirotic/Ilyasova/Diallo
Davis/Okafor

Way too many moving parts.. Try to simplify it some, something like:

Mil: Randle
Atl: Hill, Wes, 1st
Nop: Brogdon, Illy, Baze, Dedmon

Payton/Brogdon/Frazier
Jrue/Moore/Frank
Baze/Illy/Miller/Williams
Niko/Illy(plays both)/Diallo
AD/Dedmon/Okafor

Cut Clark to make room

here’s one I feel certain about...
rondo will be a throw in to a middling trade by the lakers, get bought out by his new team, and will sign with the pels

the pels will trade Moore, salary and a 2nd for MKG, and Ian Clark for another shooter

there won’t be a good trade involving the 1st so they keep it and trade it before the draft for someone we will like

I don’t see anyway the Pels trade for Prince.

1) he’s young and a player the Hawks likely want to build around
2) I don’t think he’s much of a 2018/2019 upgrade, if at all

I think Bazemore and Prince combo is a real possibility. You get a guy who helps now and one who helps a bit now but could also become a piece down the line.

Hill, Wes, and the pick is a definite. But Pels would have to give more. I wonder if a pick swap option in 2021 or 2022 would be enough. Atlanta will assume they will be good by then and Pels will be bad, so that could be valuable. And Pels can rightfully tell ownership they are only trading one pick

No way. Brogdon is getting better by the day and has a chance to be a semi star capability. I cant see them trading him much less with the other two.

Seems like we would be giving up too much to bail Atlanta out of Bazemore's deal especially if they do not feel Prince is part of their future anyway. If we are not trading for a star, I would want to hold on to as many draft picks as we can.

You think Bazemore deal is worse than Hill? For an extra 6 mil, at least you get a real player.

And they haven't given up on Prince. They just don't want to pay him 20 mil pet year in the future

Elfrid/Jrue/Niko/Randle/Davis work out and none of them get moved.

If ATL falls in the Top 3, Prince at best is the third option...with a guy likely playing his position coming in.

Prince is about the only guy on ATL worth a first

Tonight's game is the most important one of the year, nothing else matters. This line up hasn't played much but hopefully Moore comes back and they all start to gel. If AD continues to play aggressive and doesn't get injured, then this team is the 3rd best team in the Western conference. Add in Frank, Jah, Moore & Miller playing solid and they will make a good run.

Save the trade talks until after we see if we suck on this road trip.

Ehhhh, an actual wing would put this team over the top, Beal is ideal, but Porter also would be good for us IMO.. It seems since hes been relagated to coming off the bench, it kind of lit a fire under him.. Hes been just as much a reason for them winning as Beal has

young, Collins and heurter are all worth more than that but are their core

if dell can swing Prince in a bazemore trade I will never say anything bad about him again

What other 2? It would essentially be Randle for Brogdon and Illy..

According to the poster on ere that says he knows a source, they already offered Brogdon and Maker for Randle, so why wouldnt they send Illy instead of Maker??

I want Porter and Sato.

Closing lineup:
Sato
Jrue
Otto
Niko
AD

I just don't like Porter under any scenario. He is just so overpaid and I can't see him making a difference in a playoff series. He's just a guy. And if we do have to trade AD, we are getting a wing or two back.

I think Porter can put up solid stats if he was on a garbage team as a 2nd option, but no matter who the Pels trade for him, he will still be a 4th option at best. And I'm not paying 25+ mil for a 4th option. Unless he was the best defensive player of all time.
