Going there for the first time in a couple of weeks. Anyone have recs on the best cut of steak/best sides to get there? I’m assuming it’s similar to Ruth’s, Capital grille, etc.

I personally think it's better, but somewhat similar. I like the heavy pepper they add to the steaks.

Also their bread is more communal as in they encourage you to tear the crap out of it

It’s a chain steakhouse. You’ll have a good meal, but nothing to freak out over.

Obviously eating at a wretched place like that is below you, considering you live in Boston and all.

...there’s a Del Friscos about a mile from my house. I’ve eaten there. It’s good. But it’s not remarkably different from most other steakhouses. I don’t know where from my statement you got any of that from.

Seriously, you have a weird hatred and misconception of me that you just can’t seem to shake. Let it go, man. You’ll feel better.

Easily the most consistent of any big chain steakhouse I’ve been to. Each time I’ve been I can say it’s been up there with the best steak I’ve had. I’ve had the Osso Bucco before and it’s incredible, in case you might want a change of pace.

Agreed. Del frisco and mastros are the 2 best chain steakhouses. They’re a step above mortons, Ruth’s Chris, etc.

I had a bone in filet at del friscos that was out of this world.

They now have Japanese A5 Wagyu, so I'd go with that ($70 per 3oz).

Start with the bacon, I like the ribeye, and finish with the butter cake. The tomahawk is good too.

Much better than Ruth's Chris and don't know the other.

I have done the Bone in Ribeye with a Lobster tail a couple of times.

I have also done Wagyu Long-bone Ribeye a couple of times.

Still haven't made it to Mastros.

To me it's Del Friscos then a gap then capital grille then the rest

Despite being a chain, Del friscos is probably the best overall steakhouse I’ve been to. That includes some standalone places in New York, Chicago and Las Vegas.
