Dave Pasch is the only other one I like for that.

Pasch is really underrated and would be a huge upgrade from tessitore for mnf.

Cutler

I seriously think this could work, and work gloriously. But damn he better be paired with a guy who has a sense of humor and can push and pull cutler the right direction, all while acknowledging his dry, dgaf wit..

I think Kevin Burkhardt and cutler would actually be very very good pairing.

Amazingly, I have an incling Cutler would probably be almost Romo-like in his approach, just without the "wackiness"

Cutler is no dummy and he obviously could talk football strategy in the game, especially from an offensive standpoint... And he's so damn give-a - shitless, he'd probably come across very naturally and smooth in the booth.

As long as cutler was self deprocating enough, he'd be very entertaining.

I thought maybe the ridiculous “white men cant jump” last night would have ensured that Witten wasn’t on MNF next year.

Witten sounded legitimately desperate for Carolina to hurry up on the last drive.

He was pulling for drama, not the Panthers. Everybody who's ever been a booth wants that at the end of the game.

It was the 2nd or 3rd time I've watched it, and holy crap it's a bad presentation. It's one thing to have terrible announcers, whatever I can put it on mute, but it was inexcusable to have a freaking review going on and NOT EVEN SHOW WHAT HAPPENED. I get it, Sean Payton looks like he can snap at any moment, but we don't need 89035310589015815342 reaction shots when there is literally nothing going on.

I think that was just more being a human being. I know I was getting anxious with how slow they were moving too.

I guess they already sunk a bunch of money into it, so it’s too early to bail

I think my two favorite from last night were when Tessitore kept saying "we have some great audio of Kuechly reading the offense" "you can hear how Kuechly has completely read the play" ...a few minutes later they finally show it and it is just Kuechly queuing the defense, like EVERY OTHER MLB does.

His excess emphasis and over the top schtik makes Joe Buck look melodramatic.

The other was on a deep pass that was broken up by Munnerlyn with his back to the ball, someone (I think Witten) says "his ability to break up that pass is a direct result of them playing zone coverage out there" and someone then corrected him, "actually they are playing man, but yes that is a great play"

Compare and contrast that to NBC's Sunday Night Football crew and the difference in quality and "listen-ability" is drastic.

Cueing?

That's the main thing that bugs me about Tess. Otherwise, he isn't bad but I don't need an announcer creating excess drama.

It was Booger who said that and Witten corrected him. I guess one can forgive a DT for not knowing the difference between zone and man.

It never ceases to amaze me how Jason Witten can turn any conversation into a celebration of his career. Last night they spent 10 seconds mentioning the two teams’ Man of the Year candidates but over 2 minutes talking about how Jason Witten also won it.

Bro, no one gives a frick about you. We’re here to watch the game. Not listen to stories of some has-been tight end who only has a little bit of fame because he was a white guy who played for the Cowboys.

Worst crew in MNF history. I’ve been watching for well over 30 years. They do not mesh well at all, and as much as I appreciate Booger, he’s out of his element, as is Witten.

I feel like Booger always tries to one up Witten and make him look stupid (which he really doesn’t need any help doing so)

I think the hate comes from his theatric presentation and description of literally every, single, play. Not everything is hyper critical but if you listen to him and shut your eyes, you’d think that 2 yard run in first down halfway through the first quarter was a goal line stand of a team up 4 with no time left on the clock

So he graduated magna cum laude from the Brent Musberger School of Football Broadcasting.

The problem is who is there currently at ESPN who would be an improvement? All the grand slam hires are currently under contract at CBS, Fox, or NBC. I can't stand Alabama but Eli Gold would be better than anyone on ESPN's payroll right now. That comment is both a mild and decent compliment to Gold and a slap in the face to ESPN. You could put Mike Tirico in the booth with the Jerry Garcia cut out the Grateful Dead brought with them to their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction and it would be a massive improvement over what they have now but they screwed the pooch with him.
