I still find it disconcerting that one can oxymoronly live on death row for decades.

Rediculous he's been on death row 36 years. That has to be fixed.

Why are these the only 2 options? Can’t you put him to sleep with a fatal dose of sedative? Respiratory failure then it’s over? There’s plenty of ways to do it. I just think we’re limiting ourselves here.
