....taking blame for not notifying student athlete of "type of test to be administered," that is grounds for firing in our athletic department. Unbelievable.

Well if it rids us of Joe Alleva...

Good riddance.

Who needs to be told to use your own piss in a urine test?

actually I think its a little more nuanced than that... I think what they told the NCAA is that they failed to inform them what the consequences might be if you did do that...

its mentioned in Delly's latest SI article on the matter.

LSU basically tried to pull the "blame us, not him" card.

well guess what LSU, you are getting the blame. but so is Fulton.

ignorance of the rules has worked as a defense approximately 0.0% of the time.

Let's be honest. LSU was trying to help the effort in getting him eligible.

I feel ya, bro. Sometimes this shite bleeds over from the Pol board and the opportunity was too great to pass up.

No. Pass it up. We come here to talk LSU sports. I think I’m on the same political side as you are and I still don’t want to see political talk here. If you or I want to talk politics, there is a board for that. Go over there to make political comments.

Back on topic, the kid made a serious error and deserves to be punished for it fully. How about the kid take some responsibility for the mistake by accepting the original punishment and learning from it?

Your honor, I knew murder was a crime, but I didn't know murder carried a life sentence, Alleva didn't tell me; therefore, you must reduce my sentence to one year.

Yep. And now everyone looks stupid-not just Fulton. Our entire athletic department is a bunch of middle schoolers trying to run this program into the ground. Way to go Alleva, way to go.
