Oklahoma has no business being in the tournament.

They'll make it.

Star power will get them in.

How LSU fricked up having Simmons I'll never know. The media LOVES throwing in teams who suck but will attract eyes.

It is about star power.

A 13 loss Oklahoma team without Trae Young would be left out of the tournament.

A 13 loss Oklahoma team with Trae Young carries more weight with the NCAA.

It'll be a travesty if they make it over some deserving mid-major. That said, I agree with Reauxltide.

The selection committee won't keep Trae Young out.

The last 10 aren't any more important than the first 10 and OU still has 6 Q1 wins. Only 7 teams have more than that. They also have a 22 SOS. It has been incredible to watch them gag away such a great start, but there are still metrics which argue they should be in. That said, they are very much on the bubble right now, and with no more games to play (which might actually be a good thing for them) have left the door wide open for someone to take their spot with a good performance this week.

Still squatting on my take that he's not that good. All you clowns shat on me 6 weeks ago, but look at them now.

I mean, he's No. 15 nationally in PER and every player ahead of him is either a Forward or Center.

Indiana 2014-15
20-13, 4-9 vs Top 50, 8-12 vs top 100. No. 61 RPI. 10 seed

Vandy 2016-17
19-15 overall, 6-8 vs top 50, 11-14 vs top 100. No 38 RPI. 9 seed.

OU 2017-18
18-13 overall, 6-10 vs top 50, 9-12 vs top 100. No. 46 RPI.

They're in the tourney.

My biggest question is, how in the hell is their RPI still decent? I've never looked into RPI numbers much but I have realized I've got no idea how they're formulated. You'll have two teams with similar record and the one with the better SOS ends up lower. Seems like a crooked system

Okie st should take their spot

OU better hope Kansas beats OK St, or they will definitely take their spot. That would be 3 wins over the outright conference champ. I don't know how you ignore that accomplishment.

Azubuike out, I could easily see a loss. Also know that Kansas not overlooking this game. Don’t wanna lose to the cowboys three times

Was a rough couple losses, too. Had to mount a large comeback in Lawrence then got blitzed at Gallagher-Iba. No overlooking, for sure.

OU doesn't deserve to be in, but they'll be in. On the other hand, I'm actually hoping Notre dame gets in. They deserve to. I think the committee will factor in how injured they've been this season, bc they would certainly be a tourney lock if Colson had played. I think if they beat Duke tonight, that might get them in. Brey is a very good coach.

LSU was on the bubble for a fricking eternity with nothing to hang its hat on other than Simmons
