Going to Tampa for a bachelor party in a few weekends, mostly to hit up some spring training games and breweries. I know about Cigar City and it will definitely be on our list. We are staying right by Angry Chair Brewing so we'll hit that up at least once, maybe more since it's stumbling distance from the AirBnB.

What are some other don't-miss breweries within a reasonable Uber ride? I can't imagine we're going to venture over to St. Pete or down to Sarasota since we'll all be drinking and using Uber/Lyft to get around.

Also, any good lunch/dinner spots, preferably close to one of the breweries? We'll probably do a nice dinner out at least one night, but keep it more casual the rest of the weekend.

There is a huge Yuengling brewery near Busch Gardens in Tampa that has free tours. Go on line to their site to reserve a tour

That's funny, Boo. I'm actually doing the same thing the second weekend in March.

You may get better answers on the F&DB.

Maybe so... we are going the last weekend in February, catching Tiger @ Yankees, opening spring training game on a Friday. Saturday will be all eating/drinking in Tampa, then going across to Jupiter for a day and catching Astros @ Cardinals.

My friend is getting married Mar. 31st and I have a baby due Apr. 2nd, so we aimed for the earliest games possible.

Alternative plan was a bourbon trail trip.

Yeah, our plan is spring training, beach, beer, cigars, top golf, etc. Looking forward to it.

Congrats on the baby!

Cycle Brewing and Green Bench Brewing in St. Pete. Cycle is downtown and I believe was a top 10 brewery according to Ratebeer. Great sandwich shop right next to Green Bench called Bodega. You can bring the food inside Green Bench.

Columbia in Ybor for lunch and drinks.

Berns Steakhouse if it fits your budget. If not go for a drink.

That looks like a perfect spot... seem to be a few breweries in the area as well.

Probably above our range, but if I can convince everyone...

Here's a different option to consider... the brew bus basically they drive you around to the breweries. A few of my friends jacked this idea and do it here in jacksonville, and it's awesome. Just a different spin on your idea.

I saw that... I did something similar in St. Louis a few years ago and it was a good time, but there will just be 4 of us. I'll definitely bring it up though and see what everyone thinks.

I live in Jacksonville and I've considered doing this with some friends. We have quite a few good breweries here (I've hit them all individually).

Ahh, it's always hard to guess how many people are going to an out of town bachelor party. I did the Tampa thing for my bff's bachelor party too. Luckily one of the other groomsmen was a non drinker, so I drove the caravan during the day and he drove us at night. Did the beach, ybor, rays game, and strip clubs in lieu of breweries. So very similar plan, twas a great time. Was 9 years ago, so slacking on names of places. Congrats and hope y'all have a great time.

Obviously i recommend it lol. Josh, mike, and glenn are good people, brew bus is a side hustle so it's something they are passionate about. Met them maybe 18 years ago as neighbors, right after they graduated hs. Sometimes they can even get you brews not publicly available, but don't hold me to that. Since you're familiar with the local places it seems more like a thing to do if you have some out of town friends/family come in or a group of new to local brews. Not sure if i have a favorite local brewery, but duke's (bold city) is easily my favorite. And just looked at your name, totally fitting for the 904

The only one I made it to was Cigar City. Highly, highly recommend. Beer was awesome. They had a Korean food truck in the parking lot. It was great.

I’m a big fan of their Maduro. Had to have a Jai Lai. Also did a sampler. Really good Berliner Weisse. Then, as we were leaving we got into the bombers. Expensive but incredible.

The Marshall Zhukov imperial stout was one of the best beers I’ve ever had. Also had the Opal old ale. Very very good.

We had to call it a night after those two.
